Did you know that caucasion race is actually a genetic defect from long ago?

Apparently the african american gene is the one that started off correctly. According to some article I read somewhere, the gene that makes you caucasion is actually a defect of a chromosome... Very interesting to me about that one... Amazing how people from hundreds of years ago were so racist that they bought and sold other people of the african race that we would actually be the "defective" ones...

I believe in creation rather than evolution. God created man and Adam was so named because he was "red". I believe God was as creative with mankind as He was with the animals He created and since none of us, scientists included, were there at the dawn of creation of man, we have no clue what colors God created us to be. I can imagine that he created the first people with the physical attributes that would encompass all the current skin colors we have today. And look at how it was before the invention of airplanes and all the other overseas travel experiences we have now. People were the skin color that worked best for their particular climate. That was not done by evolution....God knew what was needed for each area. Our skin colors were not accidents and I don't care what scientists may think they know about genetic defects.

I didn't think of it like that. I actually just love learning new things and that seemed very interesting to me, but I think I like your view better.

Wow! Let's just say that you are curious about this subject and that you opened the door just a little; a very little. Now that the door is open explore the term racism. None of us know the initial intent as to why we are as we are. That makes it pure speculation as to who is defective. Skin color to my knowledge does not biologically dictate behavior. Such a thought process, management of enslavement tactics, and racist attitudes guides behavior. It is learned through a process of cultural teaching. Open your mind a little wider if you are really interested in such things. I applaud you if you are. A good place to start is to expand on the ideas you have already stated. Do some research. I guarantee that you will be captured.

The idea that genetic traits are adaptative mutations has nothing to do with racism, I don't see any kind of connection. I don't see racism as related to this discussion at all, can I ask why you do?

I will surely answer you for that clarification. The author of the comments definitely did speak on racism as it relates to the caucasion and african races. Out of respect for the writer, I carefully speak to the issue brought regardless of how vast my understanding of the subject. I wanted the writer to crystalize the fact that being blonde-haired with blue eyes did not make one more genetically predisposed to being racist. Black with brown-eyed and kinky hair does not make one genectically predisposed to submit to slavery or oppression. I would advise you to re-read.

Thanks for being polite in the reply, I did re-read and you are right. I must have forgotten about that as I was reading through, most of the other responses are just about evolution!

First of all I want to mention that I am a Christian in that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. Therefore, I do not believe in evolution.
The human race originated from around Ethiopia, the general area where the Garden of Eden was located. So, humans started out being dark in color, but, not necessarily as dark as you see most black people today.
The different colors, races and ethnic groups came about because of a human beings natural inclination to navigate toward those of their own kind. People of lighter skin must have decided to congregate by themselves and start their own communities. As a result, each successive generation became lighter until now we have what we refer to as the 'white' race. The 'black' race was not as dark as they are now. Only through procreating with people of the same dark skin caused each succeeding generation to get darker. I must point out, though, that, there are exceptons with both whites and blacks. We've all met very light black people who could pass for white (No, I'm not talking about mulatos who have one white parent and one black parent) and there are white people who have naturally dark skin.
Let me explain it to you this way. If you take a dozen or so white cats, isolate them and allow them to have kittens, chances are most of them will turn out white. Of course, there will be exceptions, but, you get the idea. By the same token, if you take a bunch of black cats and put them by themselves, again, chances are most of their offspring will turn out black. Again, there is the exception and that is to be expected.
Take me for example:
I'm Sicilian. My ancestors are from Sicily. An island off the coast of Italy. We are descendents of the Italians, but, we have darker skin, kinkier hair and rougher facial features. Why? In the 1300's the Moores (who were very dark skinned) invaded Sicily and procreated with them. Because the Sicilians live on an island this was perfect for creating another ethnic group (for lack of a better expression). Anyway, the skin of a Sicilian is darker and referred to as olive colored. Many Italians have finer facial features, lighter in skin color, and a lot of them are blonde, especially those who live closer to the border of Germany. Again, I must point out that there are exceptions. I have the lightest skin color in the family. At the same time my hair is kinkier and thicker than my sisters. All three of my sisters have hair that is straight and thin. My mom has very nappy hair like an afro.
By the way, this also applies to the Asian race as well. When you get a bunch of people who have the similar characteristics together it would only follow suit that their offspring will look very similar too.
I lived in Mexico for almost 3 years and have seen many Mexicans with the same facial features that Asians have. The eyes for instance have that same slant to them that an Asian has.
So, the 'white' race is not defective nor is it a cause of recessive genes. We are no more defective than Asians or people of Latin descent. Since I'm Sicilian I am of Latin descent. We are what we are because of humans natural inclination to navigate toward those of their own kind, be it color of skin, etc. Birds of a feather really do flock together.
When you stop and think about it we are truly all one and the same family.
I hope I haven't confused you! LOL! If you have any questions or want me to clarify something I'll be glad to do so.
Have a great day and an even better one tomorrow!

Hello Catwoman,
I have to agree with you that people started originally over in Ethiopia. And if we go on the bases of this fact the people being born in that region would have had to have had darker skin based on the Sun. (Oh by the way I forgot to mention that I also claim Christianity as my form of religion). Anyhow, from there God went on to form different tribes of people. Starting with Abraham and Sarah. A few of those descendants from Abraham and Sarah began to mix in with other tribes they didn't just stick to their own b/c the Ethiopian women were probably looking real good back when they were in their prime. Anyways that is how we wound up getting people of different races according to the bible. If you look up some of biblical history, you will will read about Shem and Ham.(These were brothers, actually it was three of them but I can't remember the third one's name.) These were Abraham's sons......Long story short, a few of them went off and married into people that were different from their own ethnicity and that is how we got different races. There is now no one true pure race. And the only thing that we can do about history is to try to learn from it. Happy Mylotting!

The white race has been enslaving everyone for millenia.... Its not our fault that whites enslaved whites, and we certainly didn't ask for slavery by the whites, but the aggressive nature of hatred and arrogance prevailed throughout the eons. White on African slavery was the worst ever.... even greater than any other type of slavery before.. That is why it is so oftern spoken about and will be until the end of time. Slavery is not a good thing in any circumstance but be aware of the slavers and their history before you make bland tasteless statements. Rastafari.

I would love to see this article...it's something I've never heard of. I do know that ppl tend to "color" depending on where they live...ppl that live in North America tend to be lighter skinned then those living in Southern states. The same with ppl that live in tropical areas are darker than those living in colder states. I don't think there's any "defect" regardless of skin color. Since I wasn't around when Adam and Eve were here, I can't say what color they were...for all I know they were green with brown polka dots (hey, maybe that's where freckles come from).
As for the slavery thing goes, it was a tragic time in history but in reality, again I wasn't there when slaves were being sold. There is some history that says it was African raiders that captured and sold other Africans to white ppl in order to make money. Others say it was the white ppl that came and captured them...I don't know...I wasn't there. I do know that there was a period before black slavery when there were white lower class European ppl that were sold into slavery. To me I'm happy for those that helped to end slavery and helped those that needed help...it was all before my time though.
