I love the internet and if I could, might end up marrying it. lol
I use it for personal and business kind of usage since I love to research for some things and its the only way for me to make money while at home which I am taking advantage of.
If you are a internet junky like I am, what do you use it for?
Personal? Business?
Besides being on here, I write at some places online that are always hiring writers that want to get paid for their work. I also do ptc, get paid to, surveys, etc.
Since I am a stay at home mom myself, I use it to network with others online where otherwise it would be harder for me to get to go out and meet others in my local area. I do go with my oldest to her school for the Koffee Klatch thing where people can interact with each other on mondays, wednesdays and fridays but it's a 15 minute kind of thing in person.
Besides doing that, I don't get to socialize at all in person but if anything, I get to go anywhere to meet others that could be like myself.
I would definitely want to know what your take is on this.
Do you like using the internet or hate it or what do you feel like telling me of how you feel about the internet?

I wouldn't consider myself a junkie but admitting that you have a problem is the first step so...um...yeah, I am a junkie. It only takes me about two hours to do my normal job unless I have a special assignment or something so the remainder of the day I am surfing the web. I remember one time my wireless went out on me and I developed this twitch in my left eye. Okay, so I'm kidding about the twitch but I was VERY upset. I was so bored at work I went out and bought some games to install on my computer in case it ever happened again. Now I spend a lot of time here on MyLot discussing things and I also play a lot of games. I guess I am a junkie huh. Go figure.

lol about the twitching part. hehhehe
I like being on here on mylot too to discuss about anything. It's also great to network on here which I know you agree. What other places online are you on as well? Since I am a freelance writer, I write at different places such as ehow, examiner, associated content, xomba, neowide, etc.
It's my main source of income for myself at least and doing other stuff to earn myself some money.
I'm not much into games which I prefer books over games, and more shocking is even more than clothes and shoes.
if I have a choice, books over clothes and shoes anyday. I spend more money on books than anything.
I have some books that I order it online instead of doing it in person.
Way cheaper than getting it in person though which is great.

Actually this is the only site that I write on. I don't do it for the money. I just like the conversation. Aside from this site I play games (like I said earlier), watch a lot of video's on YouTube, and I watch all my reality shows that I miss at night. I told my husband we don't even really need cable because I can watch everything on the Internet for free these days. I used to do surveys and things like that for money but it got boring after a while so I quit. Oh no, there goes that twitch again. LOL.

I don't do it for the money either. Sometimes, when I am down, mylot is really a good place for me to pour out my worries, which I don't wanna share with my friends or family in real life. There are lots of kind and knowledgable people here. Also, they speak something that will really make u feel better. It does help. I am so happy that I find this cool place like a bowl of chicken soap. It is tastable, isn't it?

I think most of us love the Internet whether we admit it or not. I do use it to network with others online and because of it will network with people in my local area tomorrow and on Thursday. I miss the face to face interactions since I am at home for a big chunk of the time with the kids. Good thing my hon would help me watch the kids. Otherwise I would go psycho. I need some adult time with other people and not just be with my kids. It's all part of being a good mom in my opinion.

Wow!!!!!!!
You sure use the internet a whole lot. But this is the mordern times and almost everything has to be done using the internet. I've been trying to get a job at home and be a work at home mom. But I just can't frind the right one they are all scams.
Maybe I'll start a discussion and see what I can get.
But do you trust speaking to persons you meet online? The Internet is a great tool both for persona and business.

For some of them, yeah. But for most, I don't know but I did met a few in person from the internet. I'll give you some help here. Since you are a stay at home mom, here are my ideas. I would like to help you more by getting to know the kind of peron you know you enjoy and don't mind doing.
If you want, add me as a friend and I can pm you the sites for you to check out.
All of them are totally free to check out and apply.
Because I'm a stay at home mom, I figure might as well make myself some money. Moms like us are being jipped when it comes to making money.
I hope to help you in the process so then you would discover on your own of what works.
I start school online on the 13th so yeah. I'm super busy here with three girls and such.
What about you? Are you just a stay at home mom feeling like you deserve some money as well? I believe all stay at home moms need her own money. It all depends how much you really want it and work for it. Just wishing doesn't help at all. Doing it is the way to go to working on what you wanted to.
I'm a freelance writer and planning to get into translation to make more money with it.

I've been addicted to the Internet since the first time I created an email account ten years ago. As a student, I frequented cybercafes and blew my allowance on Internet rental fees. I make a living through the Internet. I met a wonderful man who discovered me through my blog. My social life is confined in cyberspace -- I email and chat a lot and frequently visit social networking websites. I've learned a lot by browsing through educational sites. Gosh, I can cite a thousand reasons why I love the Internet! I cannot imagine life without it.

I'm addicted as well especially on reading articles on ways to make money. I have made some myself but it's not enough so I am going to keep working. Since you're here to make money, what other stuff do you think that you might be interested in doing at home to earn additional income?
I'm a freelance writer myself and will be taking online college course. The online school I join recently starts on the 13th (I'm in the US) and the school is the only one that have the free laptop and webcam plus books being shipped to your place. They accept anybody from around the world who wants to think about taking online college course. I can't physically be at one since I have to take care of my 9 month old while my other two is at school. Unfortunately, for today and maybe tomorrow, my 3 year old is sick and she got on my nerves.
So tell me how I can help you to give you some ideas on how you can make money too.
Let me know and together, you will succeed too as well.

I definately like having the internet, i feel naked if I don't have access to it when I want. I use it quite often to grow my HBB too, access the backoffice online training, view the stats of topearners in my company, of which by the way 1 gal just beat her record and earned $181,000 in September and tied with another guy for $181,000 in one month, he has only been with us for a year too.
Anyways, I definately am an internet junkie. LOL

I was wondering since you didn't state what is your home based business on your profile but what do you do?
I'm working on my freelance writing career at home since I'm a stay at home mom and now, a work at home mom as well.
I've always been attracted to making money online and without it, I'm screwed. The internet has given us so many possibilities on making money.
Just yesterday, I talk and told two people about this place but after my financial and everything else is all done, then I will do a powwow with them to let them know how they can get into it too.
Not just writing but do other stuff to make myself money.

i don't think that i will categorise myself as an internet junkie... i love internet... i admit that... but i can still control myself and also discipline myself... i prioritise things... if i am busy and i don't have time for the internet, that's fine... i will gladly go without the internet... i only be here if i have free time... and it is usually only for couple of hours max as well... take care and have a nice day...

I do consider myself somewhat of a net junkie since I do tend to get sucked into something. Eventually I would remind myself what I needed to work on. I'm a work at home mom so being with my kids and working around them is very convenient for me. I'll be attending school real soon and it starts on the 13th this month.
I can't wait since I would be getting a free laptop and a webcam. I do own my own laptop but if I wanted to sell it, I could for later on for profit.
The internet is my only way to make myself money since I can't work outside of the house. I have a 9 month old I have to take care of after my first two goes off to school.
I don't really download anything with the internet. But I have use it for learning purposes like for chinese. I am still working on it. I am planning to get into translations when I felt like I am comfortable and stuff.

I rely on the internet for many things, most of which make me some money, or help me access my money.
Networking is a very important part of earning and building an income on the internet.
I use it for research too. I learn new things every day.
Most of all I love communicating with people around the world and getting to know about them and their lives.
I think it is a good addiction.

I agree with you on all of those areas. Networking, learning and impliment everything that yo know is what makes it work for someone who wants to make money using the internet. I even love that we can use it for school purposes. There are some people that are against the idea of using a pc for school purposes.
Since I don't get connect as much as I would want, the ne makes it easier for me to have some friends at least.
Pretty soon on the 13th, I would be taking an online course for an associate degree.
I have always love to learn and I guess that's one of the ways and reasons why I sometimes think, act and look younger than my age.

MEEE!!! I love the internet so much too..If it has been a guy, I could have fallen over heels in love with this..the internet has been my haven for so long, well since I started to know how to use the computer..this is where i get all my resources to have good grades in college, if i cannot understand my teacher, i would go to the internet and find the answers..this is where i also met my boyfriend for 3 years, and it has been the witness of our "dark secrets" lol..this is our only mode of communication, and this is where he left me..since i am not a social type of person, after every exam, i consume all my time here, playing games, joining dating sites, find online friends..this internet has been my refuge for a long time..i go here when i am very happy, when i am very depress..i tried to find before on how can i work online without paying for registration, and it took me years before finding it at last, and now am here, trying my best to earn here online..and i also met my current bf here too, and we will be together soon, may God allow us to meet and have fun together..if i will be having my first payout here and if it will be enough for me to have my own connection..lol..i will be staying longer here in the net..this has been an important part of my life, and i am sooo into it..

I agree with you there. The internet has helped me so much on learning which I also learn some stuff from the books I do own and borrow from my local library. Without the internet, I wouldn't be where I am today as a freelance writer as well. I love to write and this is one of the places where I have my outlet on of making money and making friends. BUt since I have young kids to take care of, I don't get to come on here more than I should everyday which I notice that if overdid it, I seem to abandon some of my other responsibilities.
Besides being on here, I write at different places online that I also make money doing as well.
For you, besides being on here, you on any other sites that pays you for whatever?
I can't believe that I am one of the lucky people to make and earn income from the net but I need to earn more.
Money is what I do think about just as well as my kids which I hope is very understandable.
You should definitely take the time to get to know some of the people where you are at in college. It's essential for me to socialize with others even for a brief period at my oldest child's school. They have it there on every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting this fall and I'm happy to go to it because without it, I think that I would go even more nuttier.

I use internet so much.. normally i use 12 hours a day. that is half of the day.
just before two weeks, i joined money making sites including mmk, surveysawy, shareapic etc., i lost ineterest in working for many sites. for entertaining purposes, i choose youtube and orkut. i have accounts in hi5, tagged, facbook, wayn, vetty, etc., nowadays it seems really hard for maintaing every friends in many social sites. anyway, i visit these sites atleat once in a day. i am a dangerous downloader and keep on downloading software stuffs mainly for video and audio editing. internet is really a great gifts for human society

I try to use it as much as I can but it's usually a couple of hours a day.
I suggest you using a notebook to keep track of what places you join with ID and password that you used. I still go check up on my myspace profile everyday while for facebook, it's once in a while.
I don't really download anything since for now, I am more intereste in making money.
I will soon be taking an online college class and the neat thing is, I get a free laptop with webcam included.
There are a few places online that actually pays you to use your webcam whether you know it or not.
I might want to take advantage of that opportunity after I get it.
I can't wait to start school since I get to stay at home and take the class anytime I want and be able to be at home after two of my kids are at school and after they are back.
The only problem is what to do with my 9 month old. lol
I have to wait until she snoozes off and then be able to do anything I want for a few hours at least.

thats what happens when you get so attached to the internet. I admit that i myself love the internet. Its like what i will do besides watching television. I can even spend the whole day using it. its like there are 1 million things to do with the internet. shows, movies, blog, research, chat.etc.

This is even better than having cable and/or even having satellite channels. Ha ha
And it's true. There are so many avenues to go to online, it's rediculous. Since I have young kids to take care of, I have to remember to be responsible so I am watching out on being on here too much.
Like you, I can spend the whole day doing this but with fingers getting tired of typing, then I would have to stop and go if I have to.
I have my own blogs which I need to update. I keep getting sucked in to making more money ideas from ehow right now, it's rediculous.

lol Same here. It's my only way to get to do most of the things on here like make myself income. I am loving this every minute. It sure beats just being stay at home mom not making myself money.
I'm going to also use it for online college. The one I just got enrolled gives away free laptop if you are going to pay them at all. Plus, you get books shipped to your place and it's easily accessible for anybody to enroll whether you are international or not.
It's another great thing to have since I can't physically be in class of where I live since I have to be at home taking care of my kids. I would be able to do the schoolwork when my first two are in school but need to figure out about my youngest. It's a2 year program thing of business management. I am hoping that I would love it a lot.
I do own my own laptop but as you know, it's better to have more than one on some things.
