Do you go out on rainy days?

Okay, so today's a holiday and I made plans to meet up with some college friends for lunch and was looking forward to spending some time shopping later but then, I woke up this morning to find torrents of rain battering against our roof and window. Apparently, there's another typhoon and storm signal no. 2 has been raised over the Metro.
Of course, the place where I live doesn't really get flooded that easily (quite a feat considering the city/region that I'm living in) so it wouldn't be so much a hassle to take a cab or catch the train. However, rainy weather really seems to zap the energy from me that the only things I'd much rather do are to either curl up in bed and hibernate the way or laze around the house doing nothing.
So, how about you guys? Do you still go out and push through with your plans, be it for work or pleasure, when it's raining/storming outside? How does rainy weather affect your mood?
I'm looking forward to your responses.

take me with you! its so boring here i want to go out even if there's a storm out there! ^__^;; i don't really usually go out when its raining but i have been itching to go into a particular mall since last week. i kinda miss Trinoma. ^__^;; i've been going to SM with friends and i'm missing Trinoma. i should be missing Gateway and Farmers because that's where we usually go but i would only remember that i have an internet bill to pay so i'm staying away there for the meantime. ^__~
anyway, i don't really like going out when its raining because there's a lot of hassle. the rain, the umbrella, the water on the roads, water splashes from darn vehicles, the cold (although i love the cold when i'm at home), the wet and slippery floor inside the establishments because of wet shoes and slippers of customers. i'd rather stay home and cuddle in bed.

yeah. its so nice to cuddle in bed at times like this. if its going to rain all day then might as well make the rain more stronger so i wouldn't dare beat it and still go to the mall. ^__~
i like Megamall too! but its kinda far from here. i'm much nearer to Gateway, Trinoma and SM North. we all think that Trinoma is for the rich because most of the stores sell very expensive clothes and items! we like going to the Bazaar and to the little tiangge just beside the entrance. ^__^2 people like this

I am glad we dont experience typoon here in my place, I usually stay at home during rainy days, but if i need to go out for i have very important to do, i have to go there even it is raining outside. I usually bring extra clothing for reserve if i need to change. When it rain i like to eat and sleep at home. Have a nice day.

Hi there. You're so lucky, for not experiencing typhoons. I like the idea of bringing extra clothes but doesn't that make your bag quite bulky? I usually just bring an umbrella and flip flops to change into (because, really, I can't and don't want to imagine how it would be like to wade through floods in heels).
And yes, sleeping and eating are the best options for me too, on rainy days - as well as, obviously, spending time here on myLot.

I am from the part of the world where it never floods (Thanks to GOD). However if it rains it does rain like cats and dogs. But i enjoy going out in rains. Usually i take my bike and go for a long drive in Mountains. If not then I take my knees and nephews to the roof and make them play dance in the rain. Ofcourse I dance with them too. I love the rains.

I would always rather not have to go out on rainy and horrible days but living in the UK that would mean staying in most of the time lol
so when the weather is not at its best i try and avoid it wherever possible but most of the time i just have to go out and brave the elements!
if it is realllly bad tho i will do my best to stay inside lol!

I am from the most disgusting place when it comes to flood. Even and hour of heavy shower gets the water level rising in my place so if it rains i usually stay indoor and drop out all my plans. i hate to walk with water all around me and i have stayed indoor for 3 days and went outside only on the fourth as my stocks were over and i needed food to survive lol

Hi. I know what you mean about floods. The area around the college I went to was notorious for getting flooded at the most inopportune moments. Back in those days, I experienced being stranded at school quite a number of times. It was really annoying.

i don't... if it is not for important or urgent reasons, i prefer to stay at home on rainy days... i will go to work or church though even though it is raining... but not for shopping... i think it can wait for other time when the weather is better... take care and have a nice day...

I love rain...So I dont think it affects my mood.When I decided to do this work in this period I will definetly do it with out any hesitation though its raining.If it is raining I will carry an umberella with me.If its not enough for me and its too heavily raining then I will also carry raincoat along with my umberella.If i'm not at work on that day I will definetely enjoy rain.I dance in that rain and I try to eat some spicy food at that time.....I really love rain.....

I see you're from the Philippines also? Sux here when there's a typhoon! But anyway, I try not to go out when it's raining, so much more when there's a typhoon. I've had my share of flood and being stranded last year and I don't want that to happen again. Unfortunately, I have to go out today. My friend and I made plans yesterday to watch a movie today and lo and behold when I woke up, it's still dark and it's raining non-stop. Not a good sign. So, I text my friend and she said we'll still go and she'll just pick me up here at home. Can't say no. Although, I do feel lazy to go out when it's raining. It's just too cozy at home for me to wanna go out.

When it rains, I want to be a total vegetable. I definitely don't want to go out. It's bad enough to drive to work well before sunrise, but when it's raining, I don't want to go at all!
Rain is bad enough, but there'a a really heavy storm out there right now. I was asleep, but a huge clap of thunder woke me, and I can't get back to sleep. I have to get up in just about 3 hours, and it's going to be pouring!

I love it when its raining and i dont go out if it falls on weekend i just love chillin around the house, spend time with my dog and my family. Or if i feel well i go out and play with my friends though were too old for playing but its nice to play basketball under the rain or football.

I normally go out on rainy days if I have my day planned. It's thunderstorms thath will keep me in the house. I hate driving when the rain is coming down so fast thath you can barely see in front of you. If it is raining like that I usually cancel whatever I plan to do that day, even church.

hello there! well, i normally stay at home when the rain is really hard cause it is good to sleep more, eat and just rest., but then when i do really have plans with my friends and it ii just a drizzle i would still go.,Ü have a nice day ahead! happy mylotting!

Hi friend,
It all depends upon the work i have.If its urgent i move out by taking a cab or drive my own car otherwise i simply sit in the house listening to songs and eating hot foods and enjoying with my family members.

When it comes to rainy days, I am like you. My energy is zapped and I feel like taking a catnap. Rain has a calming effect on me which is not good when it comes to doing work. Yesterday, it had rained all day and I keep feeling my head wanting to hit the keyboard and snooze. So I had to shake it off by drinking a bit of coffee(which I hate) to wake totally up. But if it is storming outside, I feel it in my knees and it is painful. I end up feeling really crabby. But if it happens to rain when I am home, anything that is not too important, I will put off until the rain lets up or wait until the next day. I will chill out and take a nap lol.

yes i do not like rainy days also ,if it rain in any time ,my mood will affected by it .i now lived in the north of China ,where the weather is dry and it rain little almost each year ,i like the dry environment very much , i feel i can do most things in these days ,but if it rain ,i only spend all my time on my bed ,watching tv or reading a book .

n rainning doesnt affect my mood of going out so its really ok
