I really love to travel to hot countries and enjoy sunny days. I felt a damp sort of heat when I was in Darwin in Australia. It was humid and straight after having a shower I felt wet again with sweat. I was there in the wet season when I was there. I went to Israel and Jordan in the summer dry heat. It was very hot indeed and it was a lovely sort of dry warmth. My home country never gets all that hot. In July or August it might have sunny days but they wouldn't be as hot as I like. This year summer was like a wash out with cool weather and lots of rain.
What do you think of hot weather?
Have you been to any hot countries?

I am not a hot weather person my friend, and I find the humidity totally unbearable, I sweat a lot and I get both uncomfortable and irritable, I would much prefer to hibernate in the Summer! When I go abroad I always choose October or November to travel because I know it will be much cooler for me, I think the 80s is the maximum I can cope with, although having said that the heat abroad is more dry than the heat we are used to in the UK. Our Summer has been abysmal admittedly but I for one am glad that the autumn is here. I get too tired, grouchy and grumpy in the heat, I am more alive and happiest when it's cold, it's far easier to warm up than it is to cool down! You'll have to let me know what time of the year is best for New Zealand and Sweden my friend for the coolest temperatures!

Hi my friend Wolfie. I can see that you do not like hot weather and prefer the autumn because it is cool. Sweden has the same sort, just a bit cooler than the weather in England. It rained loads when I was in Estonia and that is near to Sweden. I suggest you go to Sweden in May, June or September. The weather would be cool and comfortable. In Finland there was one hot day in the whole summer. New Zealand has summer from December to February. You might prefer autumn which is March to May or spring which is September to November. Winter in both Sweden (November to February) and New Zealand (June to August) would be cold and cool.

I like warm, not so much hot. Our summer was like yours, miserable wasn't it? We had a brief time off and now it's doing the same for Fall.

I love hot weather. I have been to florida and california. I live in chicago and dread the fall and winter. I get cold easily and love when I get to wear skirts and tanks in the summer. My room is the coldest room in the house because there is no insulation underneath my room. I am considering moving to a warmer climate where it stays that way all the time. I don't mind rain and compared to snow...it's heaven :)

I'm a hot weather person. I grew up in a hot country and am pretty used to hot weather. But I do not like it when it gets humid...and it used to get that way often when we lived near the beach.
I now live in one of the cooler places in India (though I am from a state which can get pretty hot)...but it does get very hot here in summer. But now that I'm used to the cooler climate, it's difficult for me when it gets really hot. But then I still prefer warm to cold. My feet can't stand it when it's too cold (even socks do not seem to have much of an effect).

Hello maximax. I don't like hot weather when it is humid and hot in summer in the south of China, but not in the north. I am glad that summer is gone with the arrival of autumn. I love cool weather we have right now. It makes me feel so good.

I like really hot weather if I am in Vegas and out on a tour at the Hoover Dam, or
walking from casino to casino and into airconditioning now and then. Even if it is 110F
it is dry so I don't sweat very much. And sitting by a pool and relaxing with a drink
in hand.
I like it really hot in Marriot, BC when it is 45C and again, dry heat, and I am camping
and by the water or in the water.
I don't mind it hot where I live, in Calgary, Alberta, 30C, when I am water rafting with
my daughter, down the Bow River, along with hundreds of other people. I don't mind it
hot anytime here at home, because it is a dry heat so I don't sweat very much. I don't
mind it hot here at home, when there is no mosquitoes. I don't mind it hot here when we
go for a ride and a hike, in Banff National Park, which is only an hour from us.
I hated it hot when I lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for 44 years of my life. At 30C and
with the humidity it was like 50C which is like 120F. I couldn't go outside when it
was that hot because I was always sick. My body just couldn't take the heat and many
nights I couldn't sleep because it was so hot and I didn't have airconditioning
because I couldn't afford it.

I hate hot weather and I hate cold weather I like that weather where it is in between the hot and cold where it is not to hot but not to cold, you can still go out side with out a coat. That the type of weather I like it makes me feel happy in side and I like that.

I don't really like hot weather. My skin is really white so it easly burns, which makes me even more hot outside. I can't go outside too often because that happens and i'm more likely to get cancer, which really sucks because i like warm weather.
I haven't been to a real hot country because of this :/

I love the hot weather and I wish I could travel to Florida or other places where it is warm, but because of my husband's health, we have no opportunity to. I have not had much opportunity to travel except to as far as West Virginia and because we had cooler weather in Manitoba, I was unprepared for it being so warm. It was in September and I had dressed according to what September is here. I should have packed my shorts and my cotton tops or a light dress. Anyway the next time, I will be prepared.

No, I don't like summer or hot weather, sometimes the humid and hot temperature was quite unbearable that in those times I just really like to rain all day just to cool the temperature and kinda feel lazy to do anything. So, for me, I prefer cool weather than hot and warm weather.

i am from india as i had mentioned before also when i replied to your discussion
and it is a hot place and we have severe summer and we sweat all the time and we need fans all the time. Its really very hot there, if you have been there you might have noticed it. now we are in germany and its so cold here and you are right the summer was not good this time and it was a little colder and rainy too. but the winter is started now and i really cant manage this winter as we need warm clothings all the time and even at home and also heaters should be on and i have already started using them and i really dont like it as using heaters causes skin irritation and the pain in the body and it really dont help us.
but i am a bit fine thinking that i will be back to india for a holiday for a month plus and i can skip the winter for that time period and enjoy at home with my parents and relatives.

I always love summer not to mention that my skin is healthier in hot weather. I love spending time outside and going to the beach. And i always have more interesting things to do during summer time. Which made me love the hot weather better than winter. At first i thought cold weather is better since i grow up in a tropical country. But since i move here in the US i started to experience skin problems that i never had before which convince me that hot weather is better. I dont like the uncomfortable feeling of having a dry skin. I was use to taking a bath twice a day and now i am no longer able to do that since my skin started to dry if i take a shower twice a day. Me and my hubby wanted to move to hawaii 2 years from now and i already cant wait for that time to come. I miss the hot weather and the beach.

I don't really mind the summer season, as long as the heat is mixed with a nice cool breeze. For me there has to be a balance of hot and cold. Otherwise I end up feeling uncomfortably warm. But I still like sunny days, also. I like to walk in the yard and listen to the birds chirping, watch the squirrels run around, and even now and then I get some rabbits running thru my yard. I'm always much chipper on days that have sunny weather.
