There is no smoking in my house. I used to smoke but only outside. My son is asthmatic and like you I know the harm it causes people. Now that I have quit I can smell the people who smoke and think oh my goodness, that was me. I am glad that my house is smoke free now. Long time ago there was always this blue haze in the living room from all the smokes. Also I don't have to wash the walls as often as I did cause of the orange streaks the smoke would make.

Absolutely positively no smoking in my house! The rule will not be bend for anybody, even if we'd have arctic freeze outside. I don't like the smell and it lingers in the house for such a long time afterwards. Besides, I'm slightly allergic to the smoke and certain brands send me off sneezing and teary eyed. It's my home and my rules better be followed;)

I allow smoking in my home, since I and my husband do smoke. If we have company who do not smoke, we will respect them and not smoke. That holds true to respecting other people's houses too. Even if we are visiting someone and they smoke, I will respect their home and not smoke. I never smoke around children.

Not in my home, not in my yard, not in my car and if possible not at all in my presence. Anyone who insists on smoking should do it in private away from anyone else. Congratulations on quitting!

Normally I would have a smoke free home as well simply b/c I don't like the smell of smoking but Hubby smokes and I knew this when we met. I don't try to force him to quit so until he does, our home is a smoking home.

I used to be second hand smoker when i was kid. I am suffering from it now by having difficult breathing often even though I stay away from smokers. In my home, I forbid any smoking in my apt!

No, I do not allow smoking in my home. I have no problem with someone smoking OUTSIDE but they need to understand as much as I believe in their rights, I am a nonsmoker and I have kids. I don't want their environment full of smoke.
I do think that smokers are deserving of having an area to smoke - outside public buildings, an area outside at work or even inside at work - away from others.

I no longer smoke in the downstairs of my house. As I'm trying to cut down. But I can smoke in my bedroom and on my front porch. I'm thinking of turning the basement into smoking room. as it is in need of work. So if I let the guy's smoke down there the work mite get done. But my son doesn't smoke so I stopped smoking in the part of the house he is in. Plus my Mom no longer smokes so when she come's it don't smell to bad anymore. They all smoked around me and my sister when we were little and we are fine. I'm being to wonder about all that. I think it is your gene make up. Your friend onlydia.
