I just say a video on yahoo about a man who saved his dog from a shark. I guess the dog was swimming and a shark atacked him so the man dove in and started punching the shark. So the shark let the dog go and swam away...
Honestly I think I would do something similar!!I love my dog and so does my entire family . I dont think I would be able to watch as a shark eats my dog!!..Oh btw Im not letting my dog swim anymore.. Hes so small so even a fish could atack him!!
WHat do you think about this?would y ou do the same as the ma n? Or would you just sit back because you dont want to risk your life? I wouldnt want to die saving my dog but I cant imagine not doing anything!!

I think my first instinct would be to dive in & not worry about the freakin shark until it was too late. I saw the man on the news tonight & he said his first thought was having to tell his wife that a shark had killed her dog & he decided the shark was the lesser of the 2 evils

That shows that the wife is even scarier than the shark!
For me, I would jump in to save the dog provided I know how to swim in the first place =_=
I don't want to end up being saved by my dog who is more injured than me.

Thanks thanks :) I apologize for reacting this way. I have no kids so I treat my dogs as my own babies. Cheers! :)

Hey everyone,
I'm pretty sure it all depends on the size of the shark. If it's reasonable one can probably forfeit logic and just dive in to save the all-important dog.
Anything JAWS-sized, and it's bye bye Kansas :D
Of course if you check the facts you see that even a smaller shark can kill, maim or take away an arm/leg, just as easy as a big one, but I think in the panic moment that's how I'd react.
Anyway taking on a shark is a bit crazy from where I'm standing. How would you feel when the family visits you in the hospital and you're missing an arm or your legs or have had your face disfigured? Me personally - no thanks
But congrats to the courageous guy in the video for saving his dog, glad to see everyone is allright

Even though I love sharks, I also love my dogs and I would definately try to save my dogs from a shark that attacked them. I would know that the shark was only doing what was natural to him and I would not hate the shark, but I would want to save my dog because my dogs are my friends and companions and I love them. But I do think that sharks are beautiful creatures and that they often get a bad reputation that they don't deserve.
