I eat rice for seven times a week that is once a day in my lunch time. Very rarely, we take rice at night in dinner. Since rice is the principal food here at my place as well as well cultivated outside near my city in well irrigated lands, so sufficency in procurement is there! Here, fine rice sells at INR 14 to 18 per kg. (1 INR = 2.5 cents approx). Also there are many people here, who take rice two times daily! Thanks for this nice discussion!

Rice are main dish in Thailand. I usually eat rice 3 times a day, but some time I eat noodle for dinner.
Hot rice with "Tom Yam Koong" (Thai Prawn Soup) is my favorite.

Dear Alkhansa you said that it is not an important question! But I think definitely an important one as it is to deal with the food habit of the people around the World.Food is the most necessary thing for anyliving creature only after air and water! So I think this is a very important question in my view at the first place.
Well I hail from India. India is a country with many physical variations and since this is a tropical country surrounded by Sea from all the three sides it ia having all the three seasons viz winter, summer and rainy season.
Different soils and different climates in our Southern part and Eastern part of India which includes states like Uttar Pradesh,Bihar, orissa, Bengal,Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil nadu, Karnataka. Here Rice is the main cerele crop and it is grown abundantly here and thus it forms a staple food for the people from these states.
I am from Andhra Pradesh and since my childhood I was brought up on Rice I have got the habit of eating Rice on daily basis for lunch and Dinner. Now since my wife she is from Bengal she is also have the liking for rice. So it is very obvious thing for us to have rice as our staple food. We eat wheat also but the rice palts a major role in our diet!!!
We eat rice in the form of plain boiled rice,Biryani a rice cooked with soices and any non vegetarian food like Chicken, mutton, beef, prawns and some imes with vegetables too! Pulao,Khicharee, fried rice. sweet rice, Tamarind Rice, Lemon Rice, curd Rice are some other forms of rice we normally consume.
Plain Boiled Rice is eaten with either boiled and fried pulses which we call as Daal and some times with vegetable curries. Combination of boiled ice with meat, rice, chicken and prwan curry forms an excellent dish!
Rice is used in various other dishes used as breakfast like Dosa, Idli, Vada, Kheer, Poha etc.
Thus Rice is an indispensible part in Indian Lunch and Dinner in most states!
Thanks it was an interesting topic of discussion and I liked it!

Although rice is the staple food of Chinese, but I also like bread and noodles for breakfast, sometimes for lunch and dinner.
I have ever been to Saudi Arab, I am sorry to say the rice supplied in the hotel restaurant is not suitable to my taste, seems it is stored for a long time. However, Saudi Arab is a lovely country and I will be there next month for business.

There are lots of eating habit. Rice is very popular in south of China, They eat tice 3 times a day just like you (Breakfirst, lunch, dinner), In north of China, residents eat steambread made from wheat. I live in QIngdao, also like to eat steambread, a few times eat rice one month. Rice&steambread have different nutrition, we should enjoy both of them.
