Before anyone can answer to your question, you must ask yourself your priority. Anyway, it is good to have both. You see, the main function of the cellphone is to make call and send or receive SMS although now most of the good cellphone have build-in 8megapixil camera. Whereas the main function of Digital Camera id to take pictures or to record video. In other word, if your priority is not into heavy and really good quality pictures or produce poster or banner, then cellphone camera with good megapixel will do for it kill to birds with one stone however if you decided to do heavy graphic and produce good pictures then you better go for Digotal camera. Again as I have said, it is better to have both but you have to check on your budget. I always carry both with me. Hopefully this info will help you to decide on your priority. Happy hunting for cellphone or digital camera or both.

"most have build-in 8megapixil camers"... A typical phome has a 1.3 MP camera; 2 and 3 are becoming common, and the 5 megapixel cameras are not rare. Sony-Erikson and LG offer 8MP phones, an Samsung remains the champ at 10MP. However, even though the best of these have quality glass lenses, none of them match even 3 MP cameras for image qualty. Their sensors are too small for onr thing, and they are not geared up for photography - that is just a convenience they add to phone functions.

I would definitely choose to have a good cellphone unit with nice camera features. With cellphone you can take pictures as good as the digital camera taken and you can also call and text, have a music player, play games and you can even access your email in it. With digtal camera what you can only do with that is to take pictures only no more extra features unlike cellphones with lots of usefull functions. I will definitely choose to a cellphone rather than a digital camera..
Have a nice day..

I would go to a cellphone with a better capture pictures. With it, you can text, call and take pictures. But with digital camera you can only take pictures. It depends to you because with digicam it really do take good pictures and more features when it comes of taking pics. With phones, they're not that good capturing pictures compare to digital camera. So if you are just looking for a gadget between cellphone with cam and digi cam just to capture pictures, then you should go to digicam

i think digital camera is still better. a cellphone with a camera is just an added feature. it was basically made as a gadget for conversation. i still think that each gadget has its purpose and for whatever it is, they're still better compared to if it's just an added feature.

If your requirement is for photography than u should go for a digital camera. If you only want photos for entertainment than you can go for a cell phone. Choice is yours.
If you want excellent results of your photographs than you should get a digital camera because the camera of a cell phone is not enough if you want results.

I will chose the camera ,cellphone is only a kind of conection tool ,the camera in the cellphone couldn't make a better picture than the camera ,we young peple are now depending on too many for cellphone .if you are part-time camera lover ,certaninly chose the camera.
