If you were feeling really tired, what would you cook?

If I'm tired, but still have to prepare dinner,
then I'd probably stick with
something simple and easy to prepare like
salmon salad sandwiches.
It's super simple to make and can be prepared
in less than five minutes.
My spouse loves the dish and I always get rave reviews.
And, in a pinch, I can use leftovers in a noodle dish
for the next day's dinner.
It's also super cheap and economical!
If I were tired, I'd probably avoid any kind of meal that required
me to use the stove or took a long time to prepare.
What about you?
If you were tired, what would you prepare for dinner?
If you were tired, what type of dish would you
stay away from?

If I were tired and still needed to fix something I too would stick with something simple. I would probably fix something like grilled cheese sandwiches or something and then maybe some french fries or something like that. It's all really easy and even easier especially since I have a sandwich maker that only takes a few minutes to make really tasty sandwiches.

I love mine. It's the best $8 I ever spent. It only takes about 3 minutes to make sandwiches and from what I've found by searching online that you can make a lot of other things with them too.

Hello beauty queen. If I feel really tired, I will go to have my dinner in the small restaurant outside my school or cook a pack of instant noodles at home by myself. That is the easiest and most convenient to me. Happy cooking, dear friend.

Hi jisir, it’s nice to see you here while browsing around freely.
Eating too much instant noodles is not good for your health. It's OK to have them once in a while. Don’t be too engrossed in mylot posting my dear. Please spare some time to cook some nutritious food like veggies and fish to entertain your stomach.
Anyway I believe those foods served in the small restaurant are at least better than the instant noodles. I still couldn't forget about the Kang Shifu instant noodles in your place it's really delicious
Happy posting and take care.

Hello lkbooi. Thank you so much for your nice comment. Yeah, you are right that it is better to eat at the small restaurant rather than to have instant noodles so often. By the way, I always prepare some Kangshifu instant noodles in my school apartment, but not at my real home in my hometown because I don't eat instant noodles at home, but only on campus when I feel lazy. Probably I eat four or five packs of instant noodles a month. It is no good to health at all. I thank you so much for your concern, lkbooi. These days we are having a national holiday, seven days rest. I really did a lot of mylotting every day as I do not have that much time mylotting once I start to work. It is good that I can interact with my mylot friends here for different discussions more often these days. I still have one more day rest tomorrow. Then I will have to work for another twelve days before I have a four-day rest. I have enjoyed myself a lot these days. By the way, I do some simple cooking these days without going to the canteen. I either cook rice and real noodles instead of instant noodles. Thank you again and have a good day as always, my dear friend lkbooi.

I tend to go through these phases where I have no desire to cook at all. I just seem always tired and take no interest in cooking. Then I have phases where all I want to do is cook or bake, and won't even settle for store bought bread.
Well lately I've been in the no cooking phase. Although I don't avoid the stove when I'm this tired. I don't think most of my meals do take much time to prepare, I'll just stay away from those that require too many ingredients.
Like I have this one... peach glazed pork chops. The glaze takes about 20 ingredients that I have to measure out. I tend to avoid that dish when I'm not in the mood for cooking. But I will do another dish that takes 10 ingredients... so long as I don't have to measure them out. Most of the time I don't measure, I go by look and smell.

Nah, it really isn't, it's like a pinch of this and a dash of that and teaspoon of this... ya know. Most recipes I don't really follow, I just go by look and smell, but this is one that I've never veered off, I do it exactly as it says to.

When I'm really tired I only cook noodles or pancit canton because it's so easy. I just have to boil water in 3 minutes put the noodles leave it for 2 minutes, put the seasoning and then gotcha! i can eat my instant noodles now (hehe). happy mylotting!

Oh! Cool!
I have been dying to try one
of those subs.
I was hoping they wouldn't be as slimy
as the other sub people.
Sometimes, the non toasted subs
get all soggy.
I hate soggy bread!
With a passion!

If I have the money, I do a pizza night.
With two pizzas and not one.
It's more expensive but then I have
pizza leftovers for two days,
so it evens out!

Spaghetti is the simplest and easiest food for dinner in my opinion. Especially if we use ready sauce for spaghetti, and the vegetables we can add the frozen one inside the sauce. Very simple! and it will not take long time to prepare

I agree. Why tire yourself more when you can prepare simple dishes like sandwiches and salads. It will save all of us energy. THanks for your advise.

If I was really tired and needed to come up with dinner, I'd run next door to Harvey's and get burgers. I live next door to a really good burger place. We never have to worry about being too tired to cook. Just go next door, and eat. LOL

on days that I am too tired to cook, I will usually just rummage the fridge for any leftover to make omelet.
Otherwise, it is a can of soup, some sausages and canned mushrooms. And some noodles if I am extra hungry.
For those really long days at work, I will just pack some simple dishes from the coffee shop down stairs and call it a day.
But I try to cook as much as possible. The food from the coffee shop down stairs is not exactly savory. Just nourishment to kep from going hungry before hitting the sack!

If I am tired I tend to cook spaghetti with meatsauce or something that can be baked. I usually use Ragu sauce as the base of my spaghetti sauce and use ground turkey as my meat. The process only takes a few minutes. I do not have to do alot of dicing or adding extra ingredients. If I bake chicken I can easily make a pot of rice to go with it and steam some veggies like broccoli.

If I'm really tired and have no time I pop some frozen lasagne (Stouefers) in the oven with a package of frozen garlic bread. It only takes about 45 minutes (you can microwave it in 10) and you can throw a quick garden salad together.
Happy mylotting!

i also think that noodles are the best option when you feel tired , but If I am alon and not in such condition than I prefer only milk and fruits or also can order for that its not an big issue and if its really serious than I just take juice or banana that enough at that time ...
