I think I was around 7 and my friends told me.
How old were you and who told you?
How did you feel about finding out Santa wasn't real?

I believe I was about either five or six when I asked my dad to level with me at the kitchen table. I had already become quite skeptical of the white bearded fat mat and our apparent lack of a chimney, so I made my no-holds-barred inquiry as the veracity of Saint Nick. He gave me the bottomline and confirmed my suspicions of the Christmas Big Lie.

It might not have been intellect per se that often inspired me to be inquisitive but rather a deep inherent pessimism about the world around me.

Wow, you were a tough one to lie to. Ha! I can't imagine my 5 or 6 year telling to give him/her the truth. I think I would have been shocked.
You must have been a very smart child!

OK so did the Tooth Fairy wake you up?
I never realized how tricky that really is until I had to take something out and put something back.
I am not known for being very quiet or sneaky. So it has been challenging for me.
And who the heck invented that anyway?
How about buying a tooth tree? It would be SO much easier to take the tooth and put the money back.

When I was little we had no santa in Holland, but we had Sinterklaas at 5 december. And only a chrismastree at christmas. I was 6 years when I didn't believe in sinterklaas anymore.

Does Sinterklaas look like Santa?
Just wondering if he is Universal in his appearance.

How sweet though to go through the effort in the off chance you might see him.
You have to love that!

I liked it too.
And I'm not sure anyone knows but www.TrackSanta.com tracks Santa for your children via GPS on the Internet all through the night.
It helps get them to bed earlier, ha!

I was about six I think when some girls at school who were a few years older than me where in the toilets telling all the younger children. I didn't tell my parents I knew for a few years though! LOL

That was sweet of you. I think parents love it as much as the kids.
Well, until we have to put something together the night before. Then there is a whole lot of cussin' goin' on. Ha!

My daughter is Special Ed and 13 and still believes. It is cute because she tries to convince other kids, even non-special ed that she has seen him in person and he is real.
My husband said when she finds out the truth, say Santa lives in your heart.

6, my family has a party every year in which my mom and her friends would always end up getting trashed on xmas eve... they forgot to eat the cookies and slipped up when i asked why it was that santa didn't eat the cookies we left him the previous couple years!

My poor parents, I used to leave carrots for the Reindeer. They used to have to eat carrots and cookies. Ha!
