using laptop in battery

hi mylotters i have heard some where that if we will use our laptop with direct charger than our laptop battery life decreases is this correct i dont think so but i want to listen from all of you what you say also i have heard that we should firstly charge the battery than run it on battery i have bhght a new laptop so im eager to know this .

it is important to charge our laptop to run it on its battery or else it is not possible for you to work on if the laptop is not charged. if the laptop is charged it runs on battery for certain time and after that it should be charged again or you can connect it continuously and work on, that is what i do as the battery runs off after continuous and long usage.

I hope not! My laptop is always hooked to the charger and I am always on it. 8+ hours a day. Its only like a year old, but it does work for a while without the charger, I would just rather leave it plugged up.
