Hi all, i don't have alarm clock in house as i already replace that with my cellphone. I no need to change batteries any more as from time to time i charge my cellphone, thus it always functioning. Also, i can have various wakeup alarm.
How about you?? still using alarm clock?
Thanks in advance for the comment.

I do not think I can depend on my handphone for alarm clock functions.
I have a habit of putting my handphone on vibration mode during the office hours so that the ring tone is not disturbing the whole office. And many times, when I get home, I would forget to switch it back to normal mode. Much to the ire of my mum who tries to call me after work. [emblushed[/em]
So, the thing can vibrate all day, I would definitely sleep through it and not get to work on time.
The other reason is the ring tones are not loud enough to wake me up.

ha ha ha ha ha... well, it works for some. But not for all people.
I know I cannot wake up via the ring tone of the handset. Especially when I am particularly tired, even the alarm clock doesn't work!
Unless I put the phone near my pillow when I sleep, which is not a good practice.
So, I rather take the trouble to change the battery for the alarm clock. Cos I know that if I were to forget to put my silent mode back to normal mode, I will be late for work or appointments.

Hi AhGong, i do have the similar problem, especially during meeting, i have to turn it to silent mode, but ends up, the next and following call i will definite miss, because i forgot to set it back. My mom also me few times, so i have to be more alert and need to turn back to normal after that. I using Nokia phone, the sound level is very loud till sometimes i don't dare to use it as my neighbor can hear that.

Hi ya adriantys78
I still use my alarmclock. I don't have to worry about the batteries because it is plugged into the socket and I like it because it wakes me up with radio on telling me the news!

Hi Humbug25, you stated a good point, it should direct plug into socket so no worries on the batteries. Also, is really nice where it is with radio and allow you to listen to the news. Just a thought, need to make sure no power interruption, else might not able to wake up in time and no more news. Does there have alarm clock with both batteries and socket features? It will auto switch to batteries mode when detected no power supply? Just my 2 cents, i feel not justify to innovate it till so complicated.

my hubby uses an alarm clock but i use my cell phone.. it wakes me up better and i can set up to 3 different times for it to go off which helps instead of an old alarm clock having to be set all the time

Hi moonlitmagikchild, me too. I will set the different time in order to wake me up. Just feel that i should take another few more minutes. But i only set 2 as i don't want the ring tone to wake up my little prince too.

Hi Cjay77, not sure you are aware, some phone do allow recurrence, it means you can set the alarm only for certain day like every Saturday or only trigger during workdays. Then you will no need to set that every night. Hope that helps.

Hello Adrian, me too I used my cellphone instead of alarm clock cause I was used to hear it's alert tone which awaken me compared to alarm clock. But I don't always set my cellphone on alarm, Whenever I don't have anywhere to go, I would just wake anytime I want and not force my self to wake-up too early.

Hello,Adrianty! I never depend on an alarm clock as I can get up any time you ask me to leave the bed.I go to sleep sleep at about 1.30 AM and if you say me to getup at four I will be up in time.So my alarm clock is just kept on the table just to indicate time.I have also a cel phone but I never depend on it even to get up in the morning.thanx.

Hi Pimagro24, you are right, is easy to close. But i do have a problem, sometimes due to sleep style, i don't know where the phone gone, thus is kind of clubzy to search for that. Thanks for sharing that pal.

Hi missybear, you really great, you are able to wake up early without the trigger like alarm clock. Do you practice to become like that? Because i heard before there is a method to do that and it also use to prevent any miss out for important dates or appointment. Thanks for your comment.
