I don't normally celebrate my dogs birthday, but since my 5 y.o. grandson thinks it's important to recognise it, I do. So, she get's a new bone, and a little more off our plate after our meal lol. We don't have a party, cake or balloons, but do the extra food and stuff like that. The dog is an important member of our family, very loved and all, so it would make perfect sense to my little grandson that the day is marked as a 'special' one. I doubt that the dog knows it's her birthday, but she does appreciate the extra food. (Yes...she's definitely a chow-hound lol)

I celebrate my dog's birthday. She's one year old. :) I get her her favorite foods, some new clothing, because she LOVES clothing, some new toys, little things like that. Of course she doesn't know WHY all this is happening, but she's such a good dog, it's important for her to feel loved. And she should be loved because I know that she had it kinda rough before I adopted her so I shower her with affection. She's a bit spoiled, but she's generally a really good dog so she can afford to be spoiled.
