Now it is homicide!

As many of you know, my stepson was riding his bike on Thursday night when a car hit him and left. He had on a helmet with reflective tape an orange reflective vest. His bike had lights front and rear and reflectors. Yesterday morning he was declared brain dead. He was only 25, he was in the Air Force stationed in Wichita Falls. HIs wife is now a widow. He was an organ donor so somewhere people should be waking up to a better world. His friends and family are broken hearted. Someone hit him and left him on the road. What kind of person could do that? Why would they do it?

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't understand how someone can hit someone and just take off like that and never stop to see if that person needs any medical care. I hope this person gets caught and pays for his/her actions. I will say a special prayer for your son and your family.

So sorry to hear this Debs. My heart and prayers go out to all of your and his family and friends. What makes a person do something like that is beyond me and they can't say they didn't see him unless they were so drunk or doped up or maybe someone with no license or insurance and didn't want to get in trouble? Whoever it was and for whatever reason it did happen I hope they will be found or will come forward one day.

Some is driving without a license and hits someone is one thing. Leaving them to die is another.

Obviously, this was the Devil himself. I am so sorry for your loss, and I will continue to pray for you and your family. People that live in this society believe in the justice system to get them out of things. This monster could have had warrants for his arrest, or is an illegal alien, or just stole the car that hit your son. This is the same person that is selfish and was raised with immoral beliefs, probably because his family is the same way. In the justice system, 9 times out of 10 the longer you wait to tell on yourself, or fess up and turn yourself in, the easier the punishment. I believe that if you caught this person, I would hope that he has to suffer a long and PAINFUL, lonely punishment for what he did. I pray that you and your family find inner peace for the hurt that will be there forever. I also pray that the demon that did this horrible act, suffer an unholy punishment. God Be With You All!

Thank you. I don't think there is anything that can be said or done that will make things better. It is something only time can heal but it will always hurt.

I'm so sorry. Just know that whoever did this will pay. What comes around, goes around. God will take care of him. I will continue praying for both you and your family. Please make sure you get a second opinion about his condition. You never know. Again, I'm sorry. I wish you the strength to get through this.

I am so very sorry to hear this. This is the work of a true monster and believe me when I tell you, they are going to find the person who did this and bring him to justice. It is so horrible that a man who would fight for our country could lose his life in such a way. This kind of thing make me angry.

I feel sorry for you. May he rest and may God keeps him in peace and bless you and your family, I know how it is loosing someone you loved. This world is so complex and this means that here there are many people who act different. The driver must be an idiot and was scared that he will be charged of crime and be sentenced to prison so he might have thought to run and leave him. In this situation he may have been drunk or awake...but I think that the driver was drunk too, this explains also how the cause of the accident. But the driver must be a really a totally coward, idiot and coldheart to let someone in that position. Belive this world holds many souls who show less care for others, even i know persons even in my family who i can't explain their egoistic acts or other thinks. But I know that all has it's price, what we do or choose good or bad there is always a price to be paid and the bad ways have the easiest way to be paid but the price is painful. I hope that driver will be "rewarded" by his coldblood act. Rather to take care of others they simply think only about themselves, their way of this thinking has many explanations but there aren't any excuses for any comminted crime. Now you can't do anything, I can only tell you to keep your stepson in your heart and pray for him. Don't show any hatred to the driver or desire or revenge, the driver will get his punishment for this, cause nothing can't be hidden. Now for your son you can only take care and support his wife, she is now in a difficult situation. I don't know why I'm giving you this advice, I know that you are one of the rarest golden hearts and that you are caring and supporting the friends and the family of your son. He is now watching you from above, he is now your guarding angel (to you and all the people he cared). i wish for you only the best and blessings to your family and friends.

Thank you, I it difficult not to be angry and hate this person, but I know you are right. I think either they were drinking or talking on the cell phone or something and then just left. Rather then face the consequences, they made them worse.

I know it's hard, but you are a good person so you know that hating or wishing the driver's bad faith is wrong. The driver and his companions by doing that crime are already marked to pay their wrong choice. I'm glad to see someone like you who continues life and doesn't get easily influenced by hatred and revenge. Again all the best for you and your people around you. Your son will be always with you in your hearts.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of your stepson..a young life that was needlessly ended by some a$$hole and a coward. I hope somehow they can find the person who did this. I can never understand how someone can do a hit and run and then just leave..it doesn't matter if it's an animal, but more if it's a human being. My prayers and condolences are for you, and your stepson's family and wife

Thank you. It is amazing how you read about these things happening and it is always to someone else and now we are the someone else. Some miserable, rotten person has drastically changed the lives of so many and drove off. We don't understand how they can go to sleep at night. If they did not realize what they had done at the time, they must have figured it out by now.

Oh my god. I am deeply and truly sorry for your loss. It is terrible that there are some people out there, who are heartless enough to actually do something like this. Regrettably, there are some people who are senseless enough to commit this type of act. Though we don't always understand what goes through their minds when this type of event occurs. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your lose. The person who did this were so selfish they were only interested in saving their own skin. They are real cowards who could not face up to the trouble they would be in. Well when they are caught they will be in even more trouble now and I hope they get what they deserve. I shall be thinking of you and your family.

Yes, I am so glad that Sean was an organ donor. There is some comfort in knowing that he is continuing to help people. I don't know how my husband would feel but I would love to meet the people who have received his organs. Thank you James/

OMG,that is horrible & i am so sorry for what has happened to your family...Please except my sincere sympathy..I can not understand anyone that would hit a person and run away, that is just horrible...The person who hit him should be charged with murder for the mere fact he ran...Such a terrible lose & he was so young...The kind of person that could do such a thing is heartless & without feelings for their fellow man...I do hope that they find who did this ,if they haven't already & put thaT HEARTLESS creature in jail....Bless you & your entire family & you are in my prayers....

its ignorance of that brutal driver who hit him, these kind of drivers are usually drunk, or are in such a great hurry that they drive their vehicle at a speed, which is out of their control. government should take care of such RASH drivers, and public should catch such guys who hit and run... when a guy meet accident, its usually mistake of another offending guy, so just being careful is not enuff... traffic police should take care of the riders, riding above speed limit.
