how about you guys?! when did you usually have your tree decorated or you house decorated by those christmas decors?! we, in our family, start to build up our tree when first month of the "ber" comes and started to decorateit..hehe, so to speak that it is september, maybe because we are excited and the thing that when ber months came in, you just can count the days passing by, as i have mentioned before that it is fast approaching..and to add that it is considered our family tradition..happy christmas to all

Oh wow, you start early! lol We just put up a few things up for Halloween, then after that, my mom will probably put up some things for Thanksgiving. As for the Christmas tree & such, we usually start putting it up the day after Thanksgiving. This year, though, it'd be later - since we're planning on going out of town for Thanksgiving :P

The time flies by so fast! I can't believe the year is coming to a close! I haven't really thought about Christmas to be honest, although already the shops are getting prepared and we are starting to see commercials on television, then we will start hearing Christmas carols in shops, Christmas doesn't have the same meaning for me anymore, I think if you are a child or have children then Christmas is fun. We still put the Christmas tree up but not until December 1st or whenever we can be bothered!

I am sorry Christmas doesn't hold the same meaning for you anymore. I hope somehow this Christmas will be extra special for you. It's my favorite time of year, a time of celebration and hope, a time of fantasy and magic for children of all ages, and a special birthday party for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As many difficult times I have gone through in my life, Christmas is always the very best time of the year for me. I wish it to be for you also.

We are quite late in celebrating Christmas. We used to start during the ber months as well, but lately we've been pushing towards November. We always have the tree up by December for sure. But we also celebrate Chinese New Year in February, so the tree stays until early February. :)

Wow you're an early bird. It's like the stores, displaying all the Christmas decors in the aisles and such. But it is your family tradition and I respect that. As for me, I start taking out the Christmas decos and tree during Thanksgiving weekend or first week of December. Well, you have a great holiday.

I think we normally put up the tree and decorations a couple of weeks before Christmas day, it used to be so magical as a kid doing this, now I really enjoy being around family.

For my family, we dun have a habit of celebrating it, and thus we won't have any christmas trees or decoration in the house.. Even we are celebarting, we will be celebrating with our frenz instead, but not within our family with our parents.. hehe

we usually start after the Halloween and it is also because our Christmas tree is the on;y thing that we put up and Christmas lights are still on its place and is ready to be lighted anytime..we will just have to put an extension cord for the switch..

I love Christmas. This one will be a very special one for me. I think I'm going to have to get decked out in decorations. lol. We'll put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving probably. I'm already ready to put all my stuff up, but I don't want anybody thinking I'm crazy. Halloween hasn't even passed. I would be decorating for Halloween, but it's not a big deal for us just yet.

We don't put up a tree. We will decorate the house with lights etc.. No it's not against a religious thing of ours or nothing like that. We simply have 3 small children and though the 5 and 6 year olds are pretty well obedient, we are still training our 2 year old. Until then, there won't be trees during Christmas time!
BTW ~ we don't put up the decorations until after Thanksgiving.

We put our Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. I guess you could say this is a family tradition. It is the way my parents always did it when I was a kid. So now that I have my own home and family I also put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. Have a nice day!

Christmas is my second favorite holiday of the year- Halloween is first. But we usually put up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving or the day after. A few years ago, we put it up a week before Thanksgiving. We were going through rough times and putting up the Christmas tree together just brought the whole family closer together. Also, every year, we have a different theme for the tree. Last year it was Christmas Cards and Teddy Bears. This year, it's all going to be handmade ornaments. I just can't wait to get the decorations out!

My personal family tradition is to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving...that weekend for sure. Then it stays up until at least the day after New Years Day. My mom always did it this way with artificial trees. If we got a live tree, it went up the week before Christmas so it could still be up until after New Years' Day. She always had a good luck and bad luck for just about everything, and to her it was bad luck to take the tree down before New Year's day. Well, I don't go for that stuff. I just like having the tree up as long as possible because it looks so bare without all the decorations. However, there does come a point where I just have to take it down because I am tired of it. But never before New Years.
When I was healthier, I always took the day after Thanksgiving, put on the Christmas records (yes I still have records), cleaned the whole house good and tried to get the whole family to put up the tree and decorate the house together. I seem to be the only one in my family that really enjoys it as much as I do though. Then when it was time to take it all down and clean again, I would put on my Carpenter's records...and do all the tear down and whole house cleaning again. I am looking forward to trying to get back to this tradition this year.
