My cake swells up but goes back to the dough size

Hi guys i m new to cooking nd living alone for first time.
I tried to make cake in microwave, first it swelled about 200%
but when i took it out of oven it wnet back to it's normal size.
My recepie isn't wrong becaus i used to make it in my gas ovens.
Probably i m not well acquinted in using microwave
I cooked cake at crisp mode for abt 15 minutes
Is there something wrong i am doing

yes you really do need to use the oven. But if you insist on trying to use the microwave for cake then you should try those dessert bowls. I think Betty Crocker makes them. And even those will get hard on the outside and unbaked in the middle.

That sounds very strange, cakes should not swell like that. I think the problem is probably that you're using a microwave; why on earth would you do that? I don't think it works the same way. You should probably use the stove. I just use the microwave to heat things up.
