To be pretty, but not to be ugly...

Isn't it amazing that women whom are considered ugly, can apply makeup and then suddenly they become beautiful. Yes, makeup enhances flaws and what not. But, if this happens, does that question if the woman really was ugly or not.. It seems that the woman was never ugly in the face to begin with.. Does it take a lot for a woman to apply makeup when she really in fact does not need it?

Yes, makeup is like magic at times isn't it? I'm under the impression that women who are very attractive spend the same amount of time applying makeup as the women who aren't as attractive. I'm so glad I don't wear makeup! After all.......why mess with perfection? LOL! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Yes, I don't wear makeup. I only wear lip gloss or lipstick. I am not a make up girl. I never was. I just wear my normal face, with nothing on it. Yes, it is mostly the woman whom are attractive that applies makeup more than the women whom is not so pretty. I couldn't agree more! Thanks for responding!

cream I venture to say you just might be more attractive than you think. sometimes prettiness is almost hidden by too 'much makeup.natural prettiness is more attractive to a lot of people.

If a woman is ugly no amount of makeup is going to make her more beautiful. If she's attractive without makeup then it just enhances certain parts of her face that she can feature. I don't think any woman is ugly, beauty comes from the inside, if she feels beautiful then she is. Its all a state of mind.

Some women are called, ugly, others plain, while others are pretty and yet others are beautiful. What's the diff, the diff is they don't know how to carry themselves, or dress to accentuate what they have, or to apply a small amount of makeup if needed. A little confidence goes a long way. And a nice dress or clothing goes a long way to bringing out everything in anyone. A different style of hairdo will make a world of difference. Just doing something different and wearing something nice that actually fits, and fixing your hair will lift you up and you will look much better. If you feel good you usually look good. I don't know, but this is the way I see it.

I prefer more brains than beauty. To me it is always secondary what a lady looks like. As long as she is intelligent, smart.....thats all I care.

I personally dont care for make up, i think in my whole life ive worn it half a dozen times. I dont feel i am overly attractive without makeup, but with make up i feel im less attractive...and this isnt because i dont have it applied correctly. I have had it done professionally, done it myself and had other friends apply it, each used the same basic technique and in most cases you had to really look to know i ahd it on, it was rather natural looking, but i still felt it took away from my own look that i was born with. My husband absolutely hates makeup, and says my natural beauty is more than any makeup could ever give me..which was good to hear from him because i never liked wearing it before i met him and i didnt want him to be one that felt a woman alwys should wear it. I have a best friend that says she wears it to show others that she cares about how she looks. To me that means that she isnt happy with how she naturally looks and so she figures others wont either adn make up shows that she cares what others think...sorry, but thats not for me...but to each their own.

I suppose if the woman suddenly became beautiful after the makeup she is not necessarily ugly. But there are also many tricks with makeup to change not just the flaws but the appearance of your face. Eyeliner done a certain way or bronzer on cheekbones can create an illusion of a completely different facial structure. So yes, she is considered more attractive after hours of cosmetic work, but she may not even really look that way when she washes her face. I personally go almost completely natural for everyday look, but I try not to judge girls with more makeup on than I would choose.

Women think they are ugly because of society's and Hollywood's portrayal of "beauty". Take a good look at some woman you think is ugly. She has at least one beautiful feature to balance out those that are unpleasant to you. Everyone is beautiful in some way.

hi cream I think those of us who are not outstanding beauties'probably use much less make up we have come to terms with our looks and feel comfortable in our skins. I use a little lipstick, and a light coating of eye brow pencil as my brows are now white and a bit sparse.I really think I look good for a senior citizen and am happy being myself. I dont spend a ton of money on a lot of expensive lotions as I dontthink I really need them. lol lol lol

Makeup is truly amazing sometimes. And sometimes when it comes to makeup, less is better. Just a little make up can make beautiful results.
