I'm against it as well, I most likely will never have one. However, I do fully support every womans right to make that choice for herself and not have it made for her. That's just my opinion.

well if the parents cant take care of the new born they should not have one. though one shouldnt get pregnant until she is sure that she can take care of her baby

I believe that a woman should have the right to choose. No one should be forced to carry a child against their will. I don't care what their reasons for wanting one are. Being a parent is an awesome responsibility and not one to be taken lightly. You can tell from the way kids (most) act anymore that their are a lot of people in this world who are not interested in parenting the ones they have.

My personal opinion, I'm not against it nor am I for it. I feel to each his/her own. For the person who is not against it, I can't knock them. I don't have to walk in their shoes or went through anything if that was the case in their lives...Nor do I judge. Everyone make choices in life what's best for them.
I guess, it really doesn't matter one way or another to me. I've never was put in a situation before. I've had a couple friends that have done it, and I don't knock them one way or another...It's their choice....not mine..

Sarah, any person who views children and child rearing solely as a "consequence" should NEVER be allowed to have children.

Protection fails. Abortion or Plan B is a back up. And even if someone doesn't use protection, it is none of your business. Abortion should be a choice a woman and her doctor make.

I feel that it is the persons choice.. they need to do what they feel is right for them. I dont think I could have ever done it... but I feel that it is every persons right to choice, expecially if the circumstances are health related or rape, ect. But the person should really think about thier choice and be able to live with the choice. But no one else should make the choice for them.. it is thiers to make.

Although I doubt I personally could have an abortion I am pro-choice. I do believe it is the woman's right to chose which is the best option for her. Before abortions were legalized they still happened. They have been going on since the dawn of time. The problem was before it was legalized non-medical personel were performing them thus causing a lot more damage to women. Now at least they are performed correctly and with less risk to the women involved.

im totally against it. there may be grave reasons but still these are not valid enough for someone to kill one's own flesh and blood, so to speak. reasons may vary: mother is too young, too old, sickly, maybe its an unwanted pregnancy, pregnancy resulted from rape, baby has abnormalities, other physical, psychological or financial reasons but this does not justify the act of killing the baby. this is definitely against human law & against teachings of God. one is condemned to do this. solution? one could carry the baby and deliver it full term and can opt to have the baby adopted or endorsed to social welfare.one cannot correct one mistake by totally committing another grave mistake. you may go on with life with no guilt, knowing you have made the right decision to keep the baby, an angel i would say.

These reasons are not valid enough to whom? To you, who are you that I or any women needs to justify my choices to.
It's not a baby, it's a pregnancy.
Humans began practicing infanticide in the beginning of time, just like many animals. As we learned more about the body & pregnancy, we learned how to end pregnancies before birth. It's not against "mans law". Followers of "God's law" can believe whatever they like, conduct their lives however they think God wishes; but for those of us who don't believe in your religion, why should we be subjected to your rules?

To me abortion is plain murder. Theres only one reason to end a pg and thats if it had some life threating problem that quality of live wouldnt be worth it. That baby that they abort didnt ask for them to have a wild night. Its just to easy for women to say o i messed up ill just abort. There are way to many people out there that dont get the chance to have kids. Women out there that would love a child. So If nothing else you have the baby and give it to a person who will love it so much . I dont understand if people would just watch the video of how they abort babys ( they tear off there arms ,legs, head, ect.) I dont think there would be as many. Besides what happened to birthcontrol. Theres a reason for it ladies. Your mother chose life or you wouldnt be here. Why be someone else judge and jury? SO with that Im totaly against abortion I belive its just as bad as captial murder. You dont think they cant feel pain when there torn in half? Get real

yes, i dont think alot of these ladies that do fall pregnant think of how that will affect them later. not now but it will later if they find out the cannot have kids and then wished they had no done what they did. birthcontrol may not work one time but its still there at least to give you that protection its intended for.

".. think of how that will affect them later. not now but it will later if they find out the cannot have kids and then wished they had no done what they did."
Are you suggesting that terminating causes infertility? That is completely untrue. Early, legal abortions are absolutely safe & in no way contribute to infertility.
As for being "torn in half" or being ripped out piece by piece; that's not what happens in an early/first trimester termination. The pregnancy that is removed has no human-like characteristics, it doesn't have a brain or nervous system to feel pain yet.

Its terrible that people use it as a form of birth control. Take responsibility for your actions, there are so many lovely people out there who can't have kids but want them. I think adoption is a wonderful alternative.
When I got pregnant, abortion never crossed my mind. My ex thought it was the only way to go and tried to convince me of it, now he has come to his senses and is upset he ever mentioned it. We defintely weren't ready and now we are not together and I still would have made the decision to keep her.

There are times when abortion becomes mandatory-if your daughter was raped by gangsters and she became pregnant-would you allow that pregnancy to mature? If your daughter would die if she carried the pregnancy to the end, would you allow the pregnancy to go on? For me the answer would definitely be no!
