How frustrating is it when people are on your tail when your driving...

I can't stand a tailgater! There is nothing worse to me. If someone tailgates me they better have good control of their vehicle because I tap my brakes once or twice to warn them to back off and if they don't well...I slam them on and they will either back off or kiss it! LOL You question may be have I ever been kissed in this fashion? The answer is yes I have been! LOL He got sited for driving too close and I got my satisfacion! Not to mention a new bumper on my car! LOL Have a good day and maintain your distance if you see me on the road!

This really annoys me as well. I don't have a very fast car just a little run round which is pretty cheap to run at the moment so it's ideal for me. So many times though drivers come rushing up behind me expecting me to speed up so i've adopted a different approach...slow down. This gets your own back and I do love winding some of those boy racers up that think they own the road.

I get so frustrated at people like that. I mean do they realize that everyone is always in a hurry and that getting on my tail and potentially putting both our lives in danger isn't going to get them anywhere faster. It's especially frustrating in a situation where you aren't the reason you are going slower than normal. Like as you said, construction or if someone is going slow in front of you and you can't get over. Yesterday I was on the highway and had some guy in a BIG truck get RIGHT up on me because the person in front of me was going slow but there was a car on my side so I couldn't get over. I was so angry. If the driver had been paying attention they would have known there is nothing I could do. I'm sorry but wherever you need to be isn't as important as my life theirs for that matter! *sigh* /rant. lol

Ugh, I know, I have to experience this everyday. On the highway they are tearing it up, and in this one part they got rid of a sheet of pavement, buy doing that you thump down lower, but you really feel it when you drive back up that hunk of pavement once the construction zone is completed, I figured that out the hard way and I was going about 55mph (not speeding), I cringed when I felt my cars shocked trying to take that. Now when I have to drive on it after work I slow down a bit to go easy on my car, and people just tailgate you aggressively. I'm not going to put my car, or my life in jeopardy by that surprise bump (the first time I hit it I could have swerved or something because it was so unexpected heh).

I understand exatly what you are talking about. These are the types of drivers you see everywhere in California. Personally, I just get a little angry and in return I tap my brakes on the idiots. If they hit me, its their fault. And if they don't hit me, well at least I give them a scare and they back off. Sometimes you have to be aggressive in order to survive on the road. At the same time, I never actually hit my brakes to slow down to the point where they would actually hit me. I am always careful on that score. I figure if people don't get the message then they are really idiots. I think that people need to learn to slow down and take things at a slow pace so that they don't ruin their lives as well as the lives of others. Life is not meant to be rushed so why be impatient to get somewhere when it will be there no matter how long it takes you to get there.

I usually feel very frustrated when I fall into such situation....And ppl here in this city drive very brutely..If the situaton permits, I will drive faster, if not, I just do nothing. Safty is the most important thing to our lives.

When my husband still drove, he liked to curse at those drivers in other languages. tehehe Just open the window and let fly in Russian. The people on the road learned a lot of wonderful new words from my loving husband who was just telling the world what he thought of tailgating drivers.

People are too much in a hurry. They don't realize that one slip could end up costing them more time and money when all they have to do is slow down and keep a safe distance between them and the person in front of them. It irritates me how some drivers will tail gate even if there is no road construction and you are doing the speed limit plus some.
