Creatures of habit?

After I do all my morning chores, I turn on the computer, and look at my email, and I try to go thru all the discussions from friends on mylot, but sometimes there are so many that I can't keep up. Its been so busy for me these past few weeks, that my inbox is full everyday, and I can't look at all my friends discussions, there are days when I can't get online, and when I do there are always a lot more discussions on there, and I just try to do what I can responding to them. Then when I get done with that, I play games for a little bit, and answer other emails, I don't start very many discussions because I can't ever thing of anything. I do that on most days, but there are some days that I don't have time to get online, theres always some errand I have to run.

When I get on the computer in the morning - or when I come home from work - I tend to go thru my emails and delete everything that ISN'T mylot. I do look at them, at least their subjects before I delete them. Then I hit one or 2 of the ones that are not mylot that are of considerable interest - for example, I'm on a Tomorrow People discussion group and a cat group. Then I go thru my mylot notifications for any comments or responses first. finally I start reading my notifications of my friend's discussions and respond to the ones I want to. If I have more time after mylotting then I might play a few games.

I usually don't mylot or come to the computer until late morning or more often, early afternoon, then I work my way through my email but don't always get to the "start discussions" phase! I'm trying to get more organized.. of course I spend lots more time on the computer in the winter months than during the others.. I start my day with reading, prayer and tea..

Sometimes I do post new discussions only, on other times I just reply to other posts since I am empty in ideas. On other occasions I do both. I guess it depends on my mood.

I get home from work...take a short nap....then turn on the computer. I check my emails in one account then go to my account where most of mylot emails are....so then I start by reading all the comments....then start with the last discussion started first....and work my way through them. I comment on the responses to my discussions last.

Hi grandpa bob. Well I kind of take a look in the morning to see what's in my emails. I usually read the comments first. Then I go from the last email to the top since the last emails were from yesterday. I like to finish those first and then I get to the ones from today. I don't start to answer them in the morning. I do whatever chores or errands that I have to do first. Then sometime in the late afternoon I will come back to start answering the email and that can go on until the early morning hours depending on how many emails that I have or how long I feel like staying up mylotting. Sometimes I stay up until the wee hours of the morning since there are always people up in mylotland since there are so many different time zones. That's what makes mylot such a fun place! Someone is always here! So mylot never sleeps! Just like they say NY is the City that never sleeps! I don't live in NYC, but I do live in NYS and I don't hardly sleep either!

I turn on my computer then while it is loading up, I will go make a cup of coffee and then check my offline messages since my yahoo loads up automatically. Then I will say hi to my mom if she is on then go to my mail and go through it tossing the junk out and then I get down to business and answering them. I don't make alot of discussion but if one strikes me I do it whether I am finished or not because I would probably forget it if i left it for later. I will sometimes get another cup of coffee which 2 is usually my limit since they are mugs instead of smaller 6-8 ounce cups. I will try to get as many as I can done. But I do have to stop occasionally to do other things like clean and such..otherwise my house would be a pigsty..lol

As ditzy as I've been lately, I fluctuate in my ways all over the 'Net. Sometimes I start with Mylot, others with my email, and still other times I'll start with a totally different site just to shake things up a bit. It just depends on my mood when I log onto my computer.

I would have to say that my day fluctuates. I first get up and get the kids off to school then I go to my computer. I am big into selling on Ebay so that is where I go first. After I get done with Ebay, packing and shipping things out the door then I go to my lot. I do not spend a whole lot of time all at once on here because then I check my emails for any new money making surveys I might have. Once I am done with them then I go back to My lot. I also cook and clean and everty else in between doing my lot.

When I get up I get my strawberry drink and then get on the computer to check mail. If I have email from family I check that first then I check mylot notifications then I read the newsletter thing then I do trivia that I get daily. After that I play games and as emails come in I check them. I am also tracking a package that I UPS is sending to my daughter, a gift I got for her. I also check in myspace each day or more often than once a day. Not sure what I would do without my computer.

Oh yeah, I got my routine down..I have mylot send to its own folder and when I get there I delete all of the ones that are my posts, you will see why later on..Then I go to the last one, because that is the first that was posted and I always start with the first. If in the midst of all this, I have a discussion to start, I open another window and start it..And if it is important that I really need to know can of post, then I will keep that open and refresh the page..If not, then I wait until I have only about 3-6 of my friends discussions to go through and then I multi task and I start replying to whoever replied to my posts and finishing off what posts my friends started..

When I have internet all the time, I answer discussions and emails as they come into my inbox. So if I have a response to a discussion that I've written, I'll reply to it from the email notification. Then I delete that notification and move onto the next. That way, I ensure that I don't miss any and that nothing gets accidentally ignored. At the moment, I'm popping everything my Lot related into a folder in my inbox and responding to a few when I have a spare half hour. I can't get onto the internet daily so they build up in my drafts folder until I'm able to cut and paste them onto the site when I'm online. I'm trying to respond to at least one discussion per friend each time I look at myLot things because otherwise I end up responding to loads of discussions all from one friend as that's how they tend to appear in my inbox. It's odd how I'm not able to respond to so many this way. I suppose it's just a perception of time! It feels like it takes allot longer this way, but when I'm doing one here and one there as they come in I can lie to myself and say I've hardly spent any time on myLot!

We are very much creatures of habit in our house. I have a routine as soon as I get out of bed - making the bed and getting the coffee machine ready whilst my husband is in the shower - and making his sandwich for work. Then we have our coffee on the back verandah before he goes to work, and I have some time on the computer before going on my walk and doing a bit of housework. Pretty much the same every day ... and that's the way I like it!

i don't really have a set habit here... i just do mylotting as i like and try to have fun here... sometimes i started with creating discussions, sometimes responding first, sometimes commenting, sometimes just reading other people's responses and browsing the discussions when i feel bored and lazy... take care and have a nice day...

I really don't have a routine. I do get up, get my kids off to school. Than depending on what I have planned for the day is if I get on the computer or not. I have been packing because I am moving next weekend. But I take a break in between to post on here.

I used to have a routine, but lately I can only 'check in' at random times. I am so very busy with a new job that I have little comptuer free time. We are also living in a new area so there is much to go see and do! I have gained weight due to being around many new restaurants...so when I am at home I am trying to get out and walk rather than sit at the computer. Your routine sounds so very organized...I am envious!

Hi Bob Nice routine and it shows that u r disciplined person. well if u talk about daily routine for office as Habit creature, its same routine i am fiollowing As far As Mylotting and surfing is concerned, it depend on free time available Take care

I used to start on the first page of my emails but lately I've fallen so far behind that I start on the last page, the oldest of the notifications. I've been working my way to the front all morning! I go through my emails with coffee, then start breakfast-sometimes during emails, depending on how many there are-then get ready for work. On the weekends, it's email, then working on some writing jobs, then some housework/lunch, shopping for the coming week's meals and then more emails and writing. Sounds boring, doesn't it? I'm going to have to do something about that! The money I make won't do me a bit of good if I'm not out there living some fun every so often.

hiGrandpa Bob I sort of jump around but I start outalways with my friends discussions then go to todays top, then to hot one, then backto friends, then sometimes I will find an idea for a discussion and make a discussion too.Mostly though I respond to all mylotters great discussions. so I do have a sort of routine that I follow. I am sort of a creature of habit too. I had some sort of glitch on my computer so have to come in and answer discussions through the board instead of thru my emails.i think my son did something that shut that part off but I do find all my friends discussions anyway. I was so into one discussion yesterday only tobe put off when one user lit into another user and even told her how much she disliked her.I was totally shocked as both these people had been like friends to me.well I guess something set the one person off and that animosity really did not set well withe the other user. so I signed off feeling a bit out of sorts myself after all that.wow. hate people fighting in the midst of a great discussion.
