Yeah, they still exist in japan. You can find some in online shops. And there is also a Nintendo DS version, tamagotchi connections. But if you're looking for the virtual pet gadget, that is the tamagotchi. They still exist, in fact, the ones being released now is the version 5, where you can take care of three pets at once and keep five of them in that one gadget.

thanks on the info. I looked it up on ebay, but i couldn't find very satisfying answers. I will search again in a couple of weeks. I was interseted more in a game for a console, let's say PSP for example, than an actual tamagotchi, but i think one of those will do. Thanks again. Have a nice day!

I don't know. I know there's a PC software to connect your tamagotchi to the internet. And there is a DS version, but I don't know about the PSP. I think there's none, it would be such a waste if a game that can fit in a small egg-shaped gadget would have a PSP port. Or probably it wouldn't sell, a gamer's opinion here.
