Expensive to Keep Pet?

Both my husband and I are retired and yes things are very tough,but I could never give my cat away,I would find a way to feed all of us,a pet is like family,my cat gives me what no one else can,she greets me at the door,waiting for a kiss on top of her head,and shares her love with me,no questions asked,doesn't care what I look at,but know's when I am not feeling well and lays with me on the bed,not moving until I do,and their are so many other things,if I had to I would watch for sales on cat food and litter,they are always on sale,and buy the cheaper cat food and litter,clip coupons,and look onthe web,for freebies,they are out their,just look for them,my cat means so much to me,I would cut down on my own food to help feed her.

If things got that bad to the point that it was hard to have food for myself and my family. I would give the animal to someone else that I know can take care of the animal that I have and can afford to feed it.

OMG what a horrible thought, but as you say things are getting bad and pennies are going to have to be watched, but I would never get rid of my cat, I would find find food for her somehow, sometimes i think she eats better than me anyway,,,
