I've been hearing a lot about people finding creative ways to sneak vegetables into their meals for their kids. My kids will eat a few kinds of vegetables but they probably should be eating more. I've never really snuck any into their food for fear that they'd pick it out right away. Have you ever snuck the veggies in before? If so how?

Not only do my children not like vegetables, my husband won't eat them either so I sneak vegetables into alot of my meals. I take fresh or frozen vegetables and steam them and then puree them. I freeze them in 1/2 cup portions and then whenever I cook I just mix in some pureed vegetables in the dish. I use carrots alot - they mix in well with spagetti sauce, chili, meatloaf, stuffed peppers. You can even mix them into cream of potato soup and I always tell the kids the orange tint comes from the cheese I add. I have added cauliflower to deviled eggs and macaroni and cheese. The secret is to make sure there aren't any chunks - or the kids will pick them out and the color doesn't stand out. Besides that I don't think the flavor changes much.
