I think in todays world wealth has very important, if a person has wealth than he will get the knowledge easily. Moreover it is practically not true that the man of great knowledge is respectable in our society, if he is not wealthy. Generally the wealth person is more respected.

I think it depends on how they obtained their wealth. If he has worked hard and done well then this should be respected in my opinion. There may be some men who have both of course because they may use their knowledge in order to work hard and get their money.

Hard working men deserve the wealth they acquire.Very true. People having both- money as well as knowledge are just so special.

i do believe that a man of great knowledge is repected more than a man with great wealth! whats the use of being wealthy if you dont have the knowledge to use it in the right way? a man of great knowledge can be respected because of the great ideas he/she shared and can be contributed. as for me, i really respect people with great knowledge..that asset ( being knowledgeable) could make him/her wealthy.

I am particularly attracted to intellectual people and my respect goes with it. I am not a materialistic person so I don't really go for wealth. Money is just a necessity for me to buy stuffs that I need to live. But intelligence is hard work. It's almost like a skill you honed through time. A person with so much to say about a lot of things would earn my respect as long as it used in a good way.

Thats right.Wealth can be transferred and pessessed by anyone but knowledge is something which can not be stolen away or transferred. That is why knowledgeable people are so prescious, they have the unspannable wealth within themselves.

Get to think of it I think wealth is more respected and more accepted in most cases. I think especially in Asian countries where there are a huge difference between the wealthy and the middle class and the poor, wealth is somehow more dominant than any good morales. So sad than millionaires that do illegal stuffs that made them rich are still more respected than an ordinary middle class person who works hard and do right stuffs. It isn't really easy to do the right thing.

Inspite of knowledge being more prescious, you are so right in saying that sadly its the other one which is preferred by most.
