Sunday was a busy day for my wife and I. But this is part of the fun and relaxing part. We went to a local park, Spring Brook Nature Center. This was done to get some photos of the fall colors. Discussions to follow with photos of this photo trip. ANyhow this shot is at one of the gazeebos near the ponds in the park. Just wanted to share this. Do you go for nature walks often? Do you have a park like this near you for this purpose? How often do you visit a nature center etc? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We love walking and taking our dogs with us. They love walking wether its a park or beach or anywhere. Its nice to get the fresh air and they always say that walking is the best thing we can do for our health. Itts very relaxing just strolling along. Sometimes we go to the huge fleemarket and we can walk for hours there. That is one of my favorite places to walk. Happy mylotting!

I wanted to take my Buster with, but there's no dogs allowed in this park. Due mainly to the amount of critters one sees on the paths etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I would love to go on nature walks. But since I have been shot in the leg. i don't walk very far. So, nature walks are out of the question. As it causes me to much pain. I don't take wheelchairs as I feel I can still walk everywhere. I am just limited on how far and how long I can do it because of the pain.

We went to Aldridge Gardens in Birmingham not too long ago. Most of our walks are hikes. It is nice to take a slower stroll ever now and then though.Especially if there are lots of photo opps!

At least you are still able to go out and about in nature. That's good. Hiking is fun, but it's also hard work!

Thank you very much. I also go to the nearby mall just to stroll through the halls and people watch at times. Walking is my main form of exercise once the gardening chores are done for the year. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It's been a while since I went to a nature park. We have a state park right outside of town and I used to cross country ski out there but since my knees have gotten kind of on the bunk I don't go anymore.

Wow! Looks like you had a fun weekend. I've been dying to get out of the house and do something fun. Haven't been on a nature walk in ages. Last time I went to a state park was in the other state where I lived, way before my daughter was born. My spouse and I went out to a state park with a little man made lake and just watched the water ripple by. It was memorizing and romantic!

Another fine time spent with my loving wife. She loves going for walks usually along the Mississippi River. I did not feel like a river walk so we compromised omn the Nature Center trails. All told, we did have a nice soothing relaxing walk Suinday. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh yes, we love to go on hikes..We usually go to the state park, about 15 minutes away or if we don't have that kind of time,we go into town, 3-5 mintute drive to the park there.. The state park has a nature center and sometimes we visit, (though I believe it has been a couple of years since we been there) Then they have this fenced in area where orphaned and hurt deer are kept..Unforunately, though they have signs up telling people what deer eat and not to feed them people food, I still see some feeding deer potato chips.. We go across the road to get grape vines and try to give them a clue, that what they are doing is wrong, but you know how some people are, the kind that needs to stay home and away from nature..

hi Grandpa Bob we dont have any place hereto take nature walks or any parks near us. I am hoping that when we move to Antioch California we will be ableto take advantage of some nature walks like that. Seems like there should be as the city is close to a big bay.

Wow. How sweet! I never saw my grandparents stroll on a Sunday ever. Unfortunately, we don't have parks or nature center in our plans. Everything is pretty urbanized here in my hometown. We usually have our weekends strolls in shopping malls which pales in comparison to a walk in the park.

My wife and I try to walk a little somewhere each Sunday actually. This is in the heart of a city of 60,000 as well. It is not out in the wild so to speak. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

HI Grandpa B, wow..looks like a hneymooners! LOL! ANyway, we also love to walk in the park or near the lake as our exercise and unwinding from regular routine! We have a park close to us but there are nothing to see there, just a plain empty area and some children's see saw! LOL! Great park from us takes 15 minutes walk, enough to have a great exercise! LOL!

Bob, Where I am, a stroll for us will probably to the shopping mall or a game of golf at the country club just opposite our house. I like nature strolls, but that will require the family to travel by car to the beach or botanical gardens. I just envy your ability to make time and enjoy such wonderful moments with your wife. Thanks for sharing and posting.

How lovely you can share your walks with your wife, GB. I have a daily walk, and love bushwalks - but my husband does not. He's much taller than I, and walks a lot faster, so it's hard to keep up with him. My daughters love walking though, and when they visit we often go for a bushwalk and picnic.
