Okay I am one that hates cleaning and dusting my living room etc. But as of recently I've gotten the incentive to do these daily chores. I have a new exspensive TV and home theatre system as well as a new computer. So I tend to dust each day now sometimes even twice. I use the Swifter 360 duster. I love this as it gets around and under the different components of the TV and sound system etc. This thing is great. How or what do you use for dusting? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We like to recycle in our household and what makes great dusters are my old t-shirts! When I have got my wear out of them or no longer want a t-shirt I give them to mum who makes dusters out of them, cotton t shirts make excellent dusters too and are great for cleaning as well as using as cloths! My bedroom is a dust collector and I am always wiping my computer down, tv and all other surfaces which seem to gather dust, that is why I can't bear ornaments which to me are permanent dust collectors!

My mom did the same. She would cut and sew them into smaller squares a few layers thick. I may do this in the future even. Thanks for the idea as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I used to have regular feather dusters etc. But I got tired of having to wash them by hand every month. So these disposable ones are great for me. Now if I can just remember to buy refills. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I use one of the many duster products on the market. I can't remember which one it is exactly I just know it comes in a box and that I use it to dust, haha. I probably dust once or twice a week sometimes more if things get rather dusty. However in this place things usually are dusty all the time.

That's how I was until recently. By not dusting daily, my computer was loaded with dust recently. Then it caught fire all that dust did. So new puter was needed now I dust it daily. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I used to use something like what you use. I do not like to dust either and just do it about once a week. I now use microfiber cloths. I use them dry and they pick up really good. I can also get it wet and clean the laptop. The microfiber is good for all things to clean.

Most my furniture is lamenated or something like that. Soapy water does the same as waxes and polishes do. I live on a busy street so we get LOTS of dirt/dust etc in my house. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I run a professional cleaning company and using a featherduster is the worst thingto do with an allergy problem. Use baby diapers and spray cleaner onto rag and dust that way. Hand wipe all blinds and fans. If you needanymore cleaning advice please contact me

I use a swifter duster too. I think I need to do a spring cleaning today. Since working part time I haven't done a thorough cleaning for a few weeks.

I usually use a damp rag, Swiffers are expensive and I'm watching every cent I can now that the market has tanked and I've lost more than 20% of my meager retirement funds! I have a few real wood pieces in my house and for those I use a dry cloth and some furniture polish. My computer room/office I just go with the damp cloth, nothing really wood here except the bookshelves. My mom dusts those and I guess when she leaves next week they won't be dusted nearly as often!

I use baby wipes believe it or not! I buy a really cheap one and I just dust using them, I always find that using polish and a cloth does not really get rid of any dust but rather just shifts it from one place to another. A baby wipe is not too wet and lifts the dust away, if I have glass to clean I use a baby wipe and then bring it to a shine with a soft cloth.

I use a semi wet micro fiber cloth to wipe of dust. Can't use feather duster as the dust will fly all over the place causing itchiness and sneezing. I don't sweep my apartment floor as well. I use a micro fiber sponge mop.

Feather dusters just spread the dust all over more I feel. That's why I love this Swifter. It picks the dust up. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well until my husband melted my duster last month trying to dust the kerosene heat..No, I don't know where his brain was at the time, evidently on vacation..lol Because it was a synthetic kind that you get called magnetic duster. Well first he put it in the dryer and lucky after a few minutes I realized he put it in there and saved it...even though it was a little rough it was still usable. But after the kerosene heater there was no hope. But I was wanting to know try the Swifter 360 duster. So I guess it is a good idea to get one.

Hi Grandpa B, I hate dusting too but that is one of my regular routine in the house since I hate to see dust also! LOL! I am dusting everyday and since I have not much dust, I am only using a clean rag to wipe the furniture, chairs, TV, table, and the home theatre as well as the floor! It's one of my exercise also! LOL!

I use Norwex fiber cloths. They sound expensive I know but you have never seen anything so amazing. My daughter hosted a Norwex party and I had to look twice. The lady asked for some margarine or butter. She took a big gob of it and smeared it on the window, She then took a small fiber cloth only moisted with water she wiped the butter then took the yellow window cloth and it was all gone squeaky clean. After several minutes passed she passed the rags around and we all had a chance to see there was no grease or butter. It was amazing. The cloth is made in China actually. Look up the products if you wish it's www.norwex.com

I hate house work. I think that is the reason that i was always a workaholic back when i was able to actually worka real job. I do some housework everyday but i truly hate to dust (almost as much as i hate washing silverware) so i end up only doing it a couple of times a week.

I use these feather dusters that comes in different sizes one with an extension for high places, I also use a dust rag, and I got one of these dust hand mittens. I like to dust and shine my furniture with Murphy oil soap.
