Stick Bug Tree - Does this look like a stick bug to you?

I took this picture a few years ago while on a hike in Alabama. We were on a trail on Cheaha Mountain. The tree looks like a stick bug to me. What does it look like to you?

It does look like something prehistoric climbing into the tree in front. Love these odd growths. Thanks again. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

When I posted it on my blog some people thought it looked like a baby giraffe. I didn't see it until they pointed it out. It's cool the different interpertations the same object can render.

I saw a giraffe also, as did my lil girl.. but is a favourite animal in our house! thats a great picture! I love the way it looks!!!!

Thank you. I never thought that people might see animals they really liked instead of something else, but it makes sense. I'm just glad y'all liked the pic.

Ah well, but of course, this really IS a stick insect, isn't it! It is just pretending to be a tree to catch some unwary photographer for lunch.

LOL, yep they've taken over the forest and are hunting lunch. He's big too. It would take alot to feed him!

It looks like some weird, prehistoric creature! What an awesome sight. It's a very cool picture, sunnflr. I think you have an eye for photography. When I take pictures and look at them later, I can't even tell what I was trying to take a picture of.

LOL. Well, my digital camera helps alot. When I used the 35mm I had some pics like you're talking about. Now I can look at them and take others if I need to. I most always take at least two of everything, just in case.

Thanks. I love walking along and finding something like this tree when we are hiking. I've taken pics of mold on trees though, so I just like taking pics...lol.

Now this one look like something off the Sci-Fi channel to me. Another great shot. I wish I could go on some of your nature walks with you. They look interesting, relaxing and enjoyable. You are blessed to be able to do this and enjoy it.

I wish you could too! It's really fun to go hiking/walking in the woods. You never know what you might see. I get alot of wonderful photo's while hiking. And it is very relaxing...the water trickling, and breezes blowing.
