I went shopping for bras saturday whilst I was in town, out of the 8 shops in the town that sell bras, not one of them had even one bra in my size! The largest they go up to is a D and that is far too small. There is one shop in town that sells a larger selection of sizes, but I cannot afford to pay £40 for one bra! Luckily I went to Tesco sunday and found one that fitted for only £2.50! They only had one bra in the size and colour i wanted Ladies,do you have trouble finding a bra? where do you go? Do you go without a bra? Guys/girls,do you care what colour/style a womans bra is? Or do you just like whats inside the packaging?

Bra shopping has to be the worst thing whether you are small chested or not. I like to be frugal when purchasing bras, as I am not that big and do not see some of the prices that are charged being warranted. I hate the fact that you have to try bras on from every different maker as they all fit differently. It can take a whole day for crying out loud. I do like to buy nice looking bras, gives me a boost sometimes.

true,I had to search like crazy to find a pretty one in my size that was black and lacy, also another massive problem was that they were all padded. I do not want or need a padded bra.

rofl xD that's true... but that problem can be fixed easily; just remove the padding :P I always do that, although I don't really have a problem finding a bra my size since they're just C O.o (but I am a just a teen so :S oh well)
Maybe you can make protests to make them make bigger ones? D=

You have my sympathies, I too have a terrible time finding bras. I am not very big but it seems like I cannot find a good fitting comfortable one. The straps all tend to slide down and they are too tight around I feel like I can't breathe. I have bought cheap ones and expensive ones but none work. Sports bras all feel to tight too. It does not matter if I get a larger size they are still the same. I have even been fitted for a bra but still cannot find any I like. If I wear a bra all day I am just miserable by the time I can take it off. I just want comfort.

Nice discussion... In my school days, I came to know a story...which goes like this...
One day, just to know how intelligent a neighbor's child was...a gentle man place a shining coin and a currency paper on the table of same value..and ask the kid which one he would like to pick? After thinking for a while, the kid first picked up the coin..and said, my mom told me to pick what ever look bright and shining..and then picked the currency paper and said, my dad told to wrap all precious thing in a good packing... Well being a male...I would say ...I like what is inside...and of course, when packed well it is much more pleasant ...
My wife, always take extra time, when she needs a bra....because of the size...but fortunately, we live in one of the ten largest cities, and so she gets her choice, easily for her treasure valleys

I have this problem all the time, most shops just don't go up to the right size for me, either that or they are really expensive like you say. I have managed to get a few from debenhams, especially in the sale they have some that are the sort of style i like and they are quite reasonably priced too - although not as cheap as £2.50, might have to pay a visit to tesco myself!! lol I also get a magazine called bravissimo which sells only bras in cup sizes d-j, although they are really expensive!!! it's nice to know i'm not the only one who has this problem!! xxx

Bravissimo bras are beautiful, I would love to have their whole range, but it's a bit of a strectch to buy one! I would definitely try tesco, although they don't go bigger than a DD the size vary so you may find that big enough. I normally wear an E but their DD underwired non padded lace one was big enough. They had them there at between £2.50 and £5,can't go too far wrong!

that's exactly how i feel about bravissimo, occasionally i treat myself to one because they are beautiful, but a lot of the brands in there you can pick up in debenhams, and like i said when there is a sale on you can pick up a bargain, especially compared to how much they are in the catalogue!! I usually wear an f or a g so i don't think tesco will help me - i reckon you got a real bargain though!! xxx

I have just about always had a difficult time finding bras to fit my size. When I was still in school I was all ready up to a DD cup size very early, those were not too hard to find but the correct band with was. They commonly come in 36DD and I needed a 34 waist. Through out most of my adult hood I have rarely had a properly fitted bra on. I would try some stores and the largest size they had was a D cup and tried some plus size stores that turned me away because I was too small for what they carried. I cannot believe the price of bras. I would usually spend about 20$ for one, until I was pregnant and had kids and needed a nursing bra. Which was much more of a nightmare than trying to find a regular bra!! I have tried a few times to order bras online but again not being able to try them on would find even by the websites measurments they would not fit correctly. I would love to be able to go with out one but haven't been able to since I was 10 years old!! Now after having kids I am even bigger than before so that makes everything so much harder for me. So for the most part, except for the rare times I can find one that fits comfortably and is supportive enough, I end up wearing too small bras or too large in the waist but fits okay in the cup. Right now I am in one of the most uncomfartable bras of my life, it is called a minimiszer bra and yes it does that but at the cost of my ribs feeling like they are being crushed! I love to wear fancy lacy delicate bras but that is so rare for me anymore that I am happy if I can find a neutral beige one that has a bow in the middle! :)

oh yes... i also always have trouble in finding the bras that will fit me perfectly since i am a teenager... my mum had a hard time finding one and when she found one in my size, she will buy lots of them for me to stock up because it is so hard and take lots of effort to find the bra in my size... nowadays, i hardly buy bras because i had bring a lot from my home country and i don't need to buy any here... take care and have a nice day...

I read this and I thought back to a couple of weeks ago I went clothes shopping. I had decided to go to this particular underwear shop because they were having a sale on, I got there and they had them in about 5 different colours (Iwould like to have got one in each) But as I started looking through them for my size, could you believe not a 1 in my size! I looked for ages! Then in a couple of other shops same again, I would see some styles I liked but none in my size! Hence I went home without any bra's that day :0(

I am lucky. I am a 38 D and I can usually find my size...it is finding a bra with out all the padding to make them evven bigger....Plus the pattern, can't be just anything. So I can go out and shop for bras and hit all kinds of stores but only come home with 2-3 bras...but lots of other things...
GGood luck

I know! its like, theyre big enough thank you!All of the bras in the high street shops are padded! you are very lucky to be able to find your size, I am 34 DD/E depending on the store and I can never find my size,if I can find the cup size, the band size is always too big.

I wear sports bras, they are more comfortable to me. And I can get them at WalMart thankfully. But, I only wear them if I'm leaving the house. If I'm inside and not going out I don't bother. To me they aren't comfortable and are the second thing I take off (after my shoes) when I get home.

I also have trouble finding a bra. It seems they only think normal woman wear an A cup. I would never go without a bra lol. I like to feel pretty so I like nice bras...and my husband always notices when I have a new or pretty one on. I went to Lane Bryant to get bras but yes they are expensive.
I too have noticed that they only make a lot of the larger ones in white....what because we have big chests we are boring? lol

I never have problem buying bra but i am particular with the brand and the color so i usually buy bra at victoria secret or wacoal. I like there selections of bra. They are durable and comfortable to use. The strap doesnt irritates my skin.It fits well and it supports well specially when im wearing clothes that needs strapless bra.

i have the same problem with you but with opposite sizing. im an A32, the smallest there is and whenever i need to find a bra they never have my size, i think it's because they never order more than like 2 sets of them and when i get there its gone.
i like to have different color matching sets some sexy and some casual, brings a little bit more to the table for my boyfriend LOL
i don't like to be without a bra though, im so used to wearing bras with underwires that it just feels weird to not wear a bra

Yes I have problems finding bras. I am a large person up there and it seems I have to order the bras I need. They do get expensive and I think it is ridiculous. There are very few times I found a good bra at Wal Mart at a decent price.
