If I were God....

Ha!ha!ha! That would be too long my dear! I understand you because like you I also am a very busy woman and most of the time I could feel the shortness of time. However, I believe God did not make mistake when He gave us only 24 hours. For one, our body was made to last only 24 hours a day. Didn't you notice that after working straight the whole day...you'd be so exhausted already at night and your tendency is to sleep otherwise you will not get rejuvinated and it certainly will deteriorate if you continue depriving it with enough sleep. So if we will be given 48 hours a day. Then that will be very, very tiring already and certainly our body will not be able to manage. I believe God's reason why it was only 24 hours a day is for people to realize that time is so short and we must consider it really precious. I'm just too sad that many people don't realize it and they remain idle unmindful of the time they have been wasting. Now, I would not want to say if I were God but rather if I were to request something from God... then I will request him to open the mind of all the people especially my loved ones... for them to realize that time is gold...and there is no need for them to procrastinate. We only have one life and so soon it will pass but only what is done for Christ will last. Hence, the people should realize they need Christ and they must not put off their salvation. People need to accept Christ as their Savior before they run out of time. People need to start serving Him so that as our life here on earth passed... we will see the Lord who'd welcome us to say: "Well done good and faithful servant."

Personally I think we should have more respect for God and not always think of our personal interests and gains. God always does what is best, we simply do not have the minds and have not reached the level where we can really know and understand God. I think we should devote some time in rememberance and thanks to God every day - I believe whenveer an individual makes an effort to do this you can always feel the benefits. Sometimes worries, illness etc. are relieved by doing this and things work out so well - i thinks it's all got to do with faith. I realise I may be going off topic here and apologise but this is something I am quite passionate about.

If I am God, I would like to smile on everybody's face. I would like to see everybody financial sound and would like that everybody could get some employment so that he could live a respectable life. I would wish - everybody could remain without any illness and everybody could be a source of inspiration to his family. As far as I am concerned, if I was a God, I would wish - I could help all my dear friends in their hour of need. I would also wish that I could get as much sleep, as I wish, and no body should come and disturb me, till I am sleeping........LOL!

hmmmmmmmmmm... I am not GOD. I'm not as wise as he is. That I can't think of something if I were him. To think of it, I may say that one day is not not not not enough for him to do his job. Imagine hearing all prayers around the world. That's a lot of work! And he decides for all of us. Gosh. I would not wish to be GOD. If you watched Bruce Almighty - Jim Carey, this is good example how hard to be like GOD. Whew. God Bless and be a blessing!

hi i understand your comment but would not extend the day but instead i would shorten the need to work. i would make the working day about 3 hours in the morning and give us the power to make sure our work is done on time so the rest of the day is spent doing other activities we find more enjoyable. having said that my first change would be in the mind of people who wish to harm others and make sure that part of the brain does not function and increase the part of the brain that wishes to help others and care for them.

Amen to that. there is never enough time in a day to get everything done and still have some energy to enjoy thing or just relax. I would make life less tressful and more enjoyable also.

divine you know to god one day is a 1000 years so you have plenty time to do all you need to do it,s just been so much to in a day we can,t seem to get it all done.just try beening patient you can only do so much in one day i know it,s hard but hang in there.

I am having a hard time with all of the "I's" in this post. How about asking God to help you organize your time so you can get all done or guide you in a way to let you know which things you can leave behind. I have often wished I had an extra arm to help me carry more. But I have not asked God to give me one. I am happy with my two that I have. I had to learn that I could not go it all. I started getting very ill because of all the things I felt I needed to do and could not. I ended up disabled from a disease they do not know what I have. I did have Meniere's Disease but it is suppose to be cured because I had a surgery. I still have dizzy spells, double vision and body jerking. I have been to several doctors and they do not know what I have. I will tell you when I do not get enough rest I am more dizzy and have more body jerking. I have had to learn to give up certain things and then I am better. I will never be able to work full time and I was making 72K a year. I will never be able to drive again. I was only 46 when this happened. I think God is teaching me a lesson to pace myself.

24 hrs in a day is actually more than enough ^_^ And even if god were to give 48 hrs in a day, it still won't be enough as most ple will only find more things to do to fill up the excess time, thus resulting in not enough time again.. lol And if i'm god, i will make sure that there will be a time to exercise.. haha =D BEcause most ple seem to have time everything except for exercising.. haha =D

Hi there! Okay, if I were God I would grant all people's wishes and let them learn that sometimes it's not good to get all what we want..I just remembered the movie Bruce Almighty.

If I were God maybe I'll just lessen the number of workdays so that we have more time for ourselves. I can't see myself going through a 48 hour day because I can't wait for tomorrow to start again a new day. For me I would really just shorten the number of workdays/schooldays or even better I'll make everyone find the work/ school where they can really enjoy, so that it won't be too hard on our part.

For me twenty four hours is enough for a day. I know we have all sorts of things under our sleeves but we still have the next day to finish a task. Besides forty hours a day would be too long. I couldn't imagine myself spending a day so lenghtly, it would be exhausting. Anyways if I were God, I would not change a thing. What's happening today is a result of what people do. We just cant ask someone to clean the mess that we made. So we must be responsible for all the things we do and its really up to us to change things...

First of all we cannot place ourselves to God position. That was clear to us I know that every body knows that.(smile!) For example if I were God I will give all the believer all they want in life for thier good and for the good of others. I will send my angels to people to guide them in every way. For there is no bad will conquer mankind. Maybe that will happend when Jesus come to us!

Hi divinegwapa, I agree with you, I wish have more time Mylotting and more hours to sleep, also if I were God the summer months would be longer and winter months to short and there be no wars to speak of. Tamara

Hi Given a chance, i would never agree to be GOD. I, in real life, unable to properly handle my family members properly, how can i handle the whole and whole universes as a GOD. Moreover, If I were God, i would be able to understand why 24 hours make a day why not 48 hours. GOD means source of wisdom. HE knows why something is like this or that. Being a human being we won't be able to understand HIS plans.

If I were God I would slow this world down a bit and and remind people what is important in life. Over the pass years the entire world got into a big hurry and our priorities became confused. We are alot less happy and alot more stressed because we must do everything now. I know that a part of it is progress, but we need to ask ourselves, "do we live long and happy or do we live short and miserable in the name of progress?"

I think we are as wise as him. Every one says that I will do that thing and this. If they became really gods they will do everything as politicians do. If they want to they can try now and say about it later. No wars,cleaning everything they can do what they can't do now is curing the diseases.

God is not constrained by time. He has stepped out of time and into eternity. One day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Can you image the stuff we could accomplish. If I was God I would do away with all sickness and diseases and make the world bigger.
