What Do You Write for AC

Do you respond to calls for content? Do you write pop articles or do you write what is important to you?
I do some pop stuff like my football articles (but I love football). but, I see AC as an outlet for my human rights writing. I don't have too many articles like that up yet because they take time to write. But, look to see more of those coming in the future, although pop stuff can pop up (pun intended) at any time.

I usually write what pops in my head. I just got a home computer so I will be writing more on it. I love looking up different topics on there.

It is a great reference site. I found out about places around my hometown, I never knew about.
Good luck with the writing.

I didn't think to ask about poems. Sorry. :) Coming up with ideas are tough, that is why I am going with the human rights. I am going to write that stuff anyway, now I have someplace to put it.

I write a lot of stuff for Associated Content. Anything from recipes to poetry.

I started writing about stuff that I thought was interesting, informative stuff mostly. Then our family started to travel and I found myself writing about the places we had been and the fun things we did there. What is your AC link? I can help you with page views. Here is my link, http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/42897/jeff_rogers.html

My widget is in my profile right under my Etsy store. I'll check your stuff out. Sounds like you have fun articles.

I just had a couple of articles published. Yippee!! So far I am writing about issues that deal with children. I have much interest in certain topics because they affect me and mine. I think the No Child Left Behind Act will have a great impact on my children's education and the future of education in our country. I have written one on this and am in the process of more.

My personal opinion, but I think the articles are more powerful if they are of personal interest to the writer. I think you can tell that the ones writing about Britney Spears or whoevr, is just doing it to get their page count up. My page count is no great shakes, but I am doing it to get the word about human rights out more. Although money would be nice.

I think you're right. I don't see anything wrong with people writing about topics that will get them a lot of page views. I just think it is more satisfying to write about things you care about.

I've been on AC for 4 years (as of August) and most of my articles have been about either wedding planning or college advice. I love to write band profiles and that kind of pop culture stuff but they don't usually offer upfront payment for it so I just get the PPM bonus on those (although a couple of those have been among my highest rated pieces).
