With me, it's two things that my husband insists on talking about. Thing number one is when he insists on recapping the entire plot of a movie that he just watched. Why not just recommend the movie to me and let me watch it if it was that good? Thing number two is when he starts droning on about stocks and finances and so on. Sorry, I guess I'm just not an into finances (at length) kind of gal.
What kind of conversation will get you snoozing faster than anything?

People who obviously do not know what they're talking about and yet they keep yakking. Stories that I have heard more than twice. People who have nothing to talk about but themselves (It's okay to talk about oneself, but to talk about oneself all the time...hohum...).

Yep, yep, and yep.
Ok to talk about yourself sure, but show interest in other people too!

Sports. The only sports that I am interested in are mainly the ones that my grandchildren participate in. Having someone give me details on every player and every game play drives me crazy..lol That is just way too much information!

LOL Usually it is when Hubby starts going on and on and on about politics and finances. Not only do not understand alot of it but it doesn't really interest me all that much. Then again I'm sure he's not all that fired up about cross stitch and quilting and there's times when I get pretty winded about those topics LOL

When my daughter calls me and start telling me about the advice she gives her friends, she thinks she is Dear Abby. She is very talkative, and she is guilty herself of the things she is advising them on. If I say anything about her guiltiness she will say I hurt her feelings so I just listen.

Ever want to tell him "get real"? I know we are all crazy about our kids, and we love them pretty much no matter what faults they have, but that doesn't mean everybody likes to hear people talk about their "sweet little angels" when they aren't. lol

It is hard to bore me...but I'd have to say MATH is one subject that would do it.

Personally for me, it is discussions about people that feel that people need to be given breaks, especially the ones who are getting help from the government in some way. Yes, there are a lot of people out there that need help Financially and medically especially if they have a lot of Medical problems preventing them from being able to work, etc. but you constantly hear of people being caught or knowingly using the system while many others needing the help have to do without.
Personally there needs to be a better way for helping people, and finding them the resources they need. Someone needs to monitor them more with a Doctors help, etc. and look into their lives, their Social Security number, etc. and visit them from time to time just to make sure they are who they really say they are, and just not out there looking for that extra hand out as well. But then there are others who always use the FEEL SORRY FOR ME card, and then wonder why everyone seems to be against them.

Yeah if somebody's talking technical on a subject that I'm not familiar with at all, that will do it!

Math! Anything type of math puts me too sleep....as much as I need to stay awake in my math courses in college as soon as the professor starts talking (and could of just have a large coffee) I fall asleep!! I can't do my math homework before bed either....because it won't get done. :P
