I have attended a funeral on my birthday. Yesterday my colleague's mum passed away suddenly and received a text message that the funeral was going to be held today. Unfortunately another close colleague's father passed away on this date. So I will always remember themand their loved ones. Not a cheerful way to celebrate my birthday but I felt that it was my duty to be there and offer moral support.

definitely not a good thing to do in celebrating your birthday but i think it's a blessing in disguise. it only shows you how important life is. that while others can no longer do the things they may still want to do in their lives because they simply have no time at all, you still do.
so celebrate life..;o)

Hi ronaldinu,
Happy birthday to you even though it wasn't for you, but never mind, you can celebrate it later.

Happy Birthday ronaldinu. I feel the same way. It was a good thing you were there for them no matter what the day. They need support on this type of day for them.

You're a good person to think of others instead of yourself. This is just one year, other years will be more cheerful. You did right by your co-workers and comforted them in their time of need. You're a good person!

Absolutely you will have a day to remember on your Birthday and that was a sad memory as well and just hope for the family of your friends to be well recovered in the future and still have a good life and to you as well on your Birthday although I knew that is quite so late......

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your colleague's parents. It was great of you to attend on your birthday. The great tradition in my family is we celebrate the birthday month. The whole month is your's.That means if something happens on the actual date, you still have 29-30 days to celebrate.

Oh your birthday has been very memorable but sad memories ha! What a gloomy way of celebrating a birthday! But we can't control some circumstances in life so what can we do. It's just good that you have such a supportive heart. Indeed you need to give moral support to friends in such circumstances. At any rate... I wish you all the best for another year added to your life!

Ok I guess I should stop complaining that I have to go to a wedding on my birthday. But the thing is it is a BIG birthday and the only day that week my husband has off. So we will not be celebrating my birthday at all. I think my husband is relieved he does not have to do anything special.
But compared to your birthday I guess I am not so bad off.

I can understand your feelings. You have done your job. You have to do that. Birthday are coming every year. But if you miss you will miss them for ever. Also the families they need your moral support. Yes it is very sad moment. But we have to think from heart than brain.
