I have always been a believer in vinegar, I remember my mother had a very old little book with all the things you could use vinegar for, it is good for cookin, cleaning and many health situations...
I was first put on to apple cider vinegar and water to stop myself from getting migraine headaches and just a little of this every morning did stop me from getting those very painful headaches.
Just last week I bought a book called "kitchen Secrets of the Vinegar Ladies" and this is packed with recipes as well as cleaning tips and health tips, I think from what is in this book it would be safe to say you could just about throw all your other cleaning products away...here is just a few..
1.prevents mold amd mildew in the shower
2.Combine 2 tablespoons of venegar and baking soda to make your own scouring powder.
3.clean the build up and residue on curling irons.
4.Soak feet in half cup of vinegar to six cups of water, will soften skin.
5.Equal parts vinegar and water, rince hair to remove build up of hair product.
6.vinegar can reduce swelling and reduce pain.
7.Nail polish will go on better if you wipe nails first with white vinegar.
8.Include vinegar in your diet it helps prevent fat from accumulating in the body...
9. Disinfect wooden cutting boards.
10. clean your microwave ..Boil a solution of quarter cup of vingar and one cup of vinegar microwave, will loosen baked-on food and deodorize...
I think it is a miracle narural way to go....

Thanks for the information on those sites Chevee and I will be checking them out as well. We are firm believers in using natural products as much as we possibly can because they are certainly better for us. We also practice what we preach as we have a small organic farm and grow fruit and vegetables organically with no chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. Yes it did take a while to work out what was good and what did not do the job but with natural products combined with companion planting we are at least getting it as we want it.
If we all used more natural products the world would be a much better place and I am sure there would be less sickness as well. It would take a while but small steps would see a much better place which is why we should pass on information to others when we find natural products which are good.

After buying the book it is very kind of you to share these tips. I also heard cider vinegar is excellent in weight loss BUT...Like everything else there's a secret to that and the secret is "supposidly" you're to use cider vinegar from the health food store and it has to say MOTHER on it. I was told this from an expert at the Nutters health Food Store. Now who knows maybe the expert is Nuts???

I'm a great believer in the use of vinegar and use it myself for cleaning and is a great combo when added to baking soda, in fact I use the baking soda and white vinegar combo for unclogging my drains and works every bit as well as those harsh chemical decloggers. Didn't know it was good for pain and swelling though..

Yes Vineger is quite useful. It is also quite useful when mixed with baking soda. It can help clear out a kitchen drain, and deodarize a bathroom drain, and the two together make an excellent toilet cleaner. It can also help remove mold and mildew.

Yes; Vinegar is quite useful for so many purposes :
"
1)Kill unwanted grass and weeds by pouring full-strength vinegar on it.
2)Rinse your hands with vinegar after working with gardening products
to prevent your skin from becoming rough.
3)Clean pots with vinegar to remove excess garden lime and fertilisers.
4)A mixture of two tablespoons vinegar plus three tablespoons sugar in a litre of warm water is ideal to keep cut flowers in a vase looking fresh.
5) Soap build-up can be removed from chrome and plastic fixtures if you clean them with a mixture of one tablespoon salt in two tablespoons white vinegar.
"
There are many more uses too.
Thanks for sharing information .
Regards

I to think vinegar is a wonderful thing to use around the home. I put it in my cleaning solutions for the floors to. And sometimes in a wash when something has a bad order to it, (but just a small amount for this).
There are many other uses but I can't think of them now.
Thank you for posting the uses you found in your new found book.

The vinegar is like a wonder liquid... i remember my science teacher using it for some experiment... i also use vinegar to throughly clean my rice cooker... i just let it boil there for a few minutes... and that will kill all the bacteria or other stuff there... and vinegar is one of the key ingredients in cooking great filipino food like Adobo and Paksiw...

Very well spoken lilaclady! I agree with you that there are better ways to clean ourselves and our homes then by using harsh chemical cleaners. I have recently started a home business that adresses this issue extremely well. If anyone would like more info please visit my profile or send me a message and I can tell you more about it.
Thanks, Jay Yerex

Wow those are some great tips, I appreciate all of them, especially the vinegar / water for the cleaning of hair products... Great, I think I could use this! Lol, in any case, I don't have any of my own tips to contribute but I would like to say you should submit some of these to dailytipper or something like that.. lol, they pay $1.00 for each tip used.. and pay through paypal, I think.. lol, it's been awhile since i've been to the site.
