I dont have any coz i'm an only child. Hehehehe. Although i admit that i'm a little spoiled, i never grew up alone. I always had one or two of my older cousins living with us to hang out with. I'm pretty close to all of my cousins, since i consider them to by my brothers and sisters already.
Although i can pretty much get away with anything, my parents still made sure i grew up not to be a jerk. HEhehehehe. But my parents were strict when it comes to school work, i had to do things on my own.
How 'bout you? do you have siblings?

hello there. i want to share with you my siblings, we're three, i'm the eldest and we are all girls. mind you, we did all the chores boys did, we grew up only a gap of a year with my sister and almost 9 years with my third sis. when our 3rd was born we're happy to have her. we did laundry her clothes, feed her milk only for a week after it, we did quarrel to who did the job. our mother will end up scolding us. now, we all have our own family, we have our kids, we laughed at our mistakes , we did things better now with all our undertakings. i thank GOD for giving me my sisters, although we don't have brother but we all live happily just like we have one.

That's nice. I guess if i had younger siblings, i'd be very protective of them. Hehehehehe. I'm very close to my nephews (my cousins' sons) and my favorite is the youngest one. I like kids. Hehehehe. My mom said that i have always liked babies even when i was younger.

whenever I think of an only child, I think of someone who is spoiled but in your case it sounds like your parents did a good job with you! I had an old sister and a younger sister. It was a little difficult sometimes as I remember, being the only boy, mowing the lawn while my sisters sat inside and watched cartoons. My father was old fashioned about such things. Odd how they never had a 'job' to do. Just me. Strange.

Yes I have siblings I am almost in the middle of nine children. So I am the 4th of the nine children of which only 6 are alive. It's nice to have brothers and sisters because you will have companions all the time. You will have playmates and you need not get other people to play with you. And now that we are older...we are still close to each other and we still support and help each other. However... in my own family... I only have one son and I am somewhat guilty because I was not able to give him even just one brother or sister. But he was never a lonely kid. Like you, he also has cousins to play with when he was just a kid. Now that he is grown up.. apart from his cousins, he also has acquired lots of friends around him so he never really encountered loneliness even for once in his life.

Well, i'm quite like your son. I've got numerous friends who are also close to my mom and dad. Hehehehehe. My friends choose to hangout in our home because they also enjoy my parents' company. And my p-arents love it too when we're hanging out at home, my dad cooks and enjoys singing with my buddies and my mom is very "in" with the young girls. Hehehehehehe.

Hi super, I have two brothers and one sister, all older than me. I'm glad that you are close to your cousins because there comes a day for most people when family is very important. Since I was the youngest in my family I can remember when I could get away with most anything as well. Blessings.

My situation is a little different. I was an only child for 14 years until my mother announced she was pregnant! I have a sister who is 15 years younger than me and, because it is just the two of us we are very close. We both grew up as only children really because of the age difference. She was only 7 when I left home so you can't say we shared a childhood. The bizarre thing that we both have had daughters and they are only 12 days apart! Couldn't have planned that one if we tried! I do wish we were closer in age sometimes, only because I wouldn't mind being about 10 years younger!

I have one brother, no sisters. I was 1.5 yrs older than my brother. He was able to get away with murder, and blame it on me. Was sad but true. He would do something and blame me and our father would automatically believe him and punish me to the extreme. Thing was, growing up that way, I learned to have a very strong sense of right and wrong. And i also learned to trust MYSELF more, as well as come up with better ways of addressing my own children's acting out. Unfortunately, growing up that way also encouraged my brother to do anything he wanted, whether hurtful, right or wrong, as long as he didnt get caught. And also led to neither of us speaking for the last 8 years.
I envy families that stay close and can actually communicate without harshness. If yours can, then more power to you all, and treasure it, because it is a gift.

Actually, unfortunately i do know why my brother acted this way. My father encouraged it and treated him like he walked on water, and because my father treated me with undisguised hatred, my brother learned to as well. It is sad that this the way it was. But as i said before, it made me trust in myself more and find better ways to deal with my own children's acting out. And hopefully a better mom because of it.

I have one older brother. To be honest we were/are both pretty spoiled, but there's definitely no favouritism, i'm the only girl and he's the only boy so we're both treated like we're special! I never really missed having sisters that much as my mum is really cool and we've always done girly things together and my brother is only a couple of years older than me so we get on really well, we're very close which i love!!! I don't have any cousins though, which i think is a bit unusual! xxx

Thank you! I really am quite special coz after more than 20 years, i found out that one of my younger cousins was named as such because i said so! Hahahahaha! My uncle said his wife was pregnant with my cousin Anna when we went to visit them and they asked me what the baby's name should be. And i said "if it's a girl, name her Anna". And they did! HEhehehe.
Well, that's nice. Kinda like a family friend, huh? I also have lots of my mom's friend's kids who are also my friends coz we go to the same university. Hehehehehehe.

haha well we already knew you were special! My mum is an only child, my dad has two brothers, one is mentally ill and lives in a care home, the other never had any children, so i have no cousins!! hehe I've never really missed not having any cousins though, my mum is still very close with her best friend from school, she has two daughters that were born within months of me and my brother so they have kind of been my cousins, i call her auntie! hehe xxx

I have at least five sisters and two brothers. I am not positive of the current number.
Here's the thing for me: I like to count steps and halves, but my dad remarried awhile ago and my new stepmother has 5 or six kids. I am not sure how many are boys and how many are girls. I don't even know all of their names. I think the number may be 7 sisters and 5 or 6 brothers, but I cannot be sure.

Hehehehehe. That's good. At least you dont live with all of your siblings. Or else you'd be like, "Hey,mom. Have you seen whats-his-name? You know, the curly-haired one? Not the one with blond hair, the redhead. THe one with the freckles. I need to talk to him about something."
Heehee! It's pretty funny not knowing everyone in the family.

lol. Since I count all siblings including halves and steps I only had to share the house with a portion of them. My sisters and I fought a lot (especially my older sister and I), but we all have pretty healthy relationships now. I am actually really close with my oldest sister now. :)
