Do you have a perfect song?

I'm not talking about favourite songs here as I have hundreds of favourites but there is only one song I think is perfect in every way. That song is 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins, I love everything about it the lyrics, music, video, even Billy Corgan's voice. Here is the the lyrics if you've never heard of it and a link to the video. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wrivjzw0RlI Shakedown 1979, cool kids never have the time On a live wire right up off the street You and I should meet June bug skipping like a stone With the headlights pointed at the dawn We were sure we'd never see an end to it all And I don't even care to shake these zipper blues And we don't know just where our bones will rest To dust I guess Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below Double cross the vacant and the bored They're not sure just what we have in the store Morphine city slippin' dues, down to see that We don't even care, as restless as we are We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts And poured cement, lamented and assured To the lights and towns below Faster than the speed of sound Faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope Justine never knew the rules Hung down with the freaks and the ghouls No apologies ever need be made I know you better than you fake it, to see And we don't even care to shake these zipper blues And we don't know just where our bones will rest To dust I guess Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below The street heats the urgency of sound As you can see there's no one around So do you have a perfect song or do you think it isn't posssible. Do you agree with me that 1979 is perfect or not?

1979 is my favourite Smashing Pumpkins song too. I think the closest I have to a "perfect" song is Ratts of the Capital by Mogwai. It's just monumental, and builds into the most euphoric climax I've ever heard before crashing to a halt before fading away. I can listen to it on repeat for hours. http://www.last.fm/music/Mogwai/_/Ratts+of+the+Capital

I've not heard that song but then I'm not a big fan of Mogwai but I'll check it out it sounds amazing.

I have loads of songs that i really really love but i think the one that to me is perfect is a devil in a midnight mass, it's lyrically really good, the music is awesome - fantastic distortion on the guitar and the vocals are - as always from billy talent - fab! there are loads though! My perfect album, if not lyrically then definitely musically is city of evil by avenged sevenfold, i just love the heavy double kick pedal on the drums!! My perfect noise in the whole world is a pinch harmonic, i love it!! lol you set me off then - music is one of the things in life i feel most passionately about, i think it's amazing the way music has the power to shift your emotions and really speak to you! xxx

Music is amazing and I never thought I would ever think of any song as perfect as there are so many I like.
