Children in need

Ok my question is, is anybody doing anything to raise money for children in need this year. The place where i work have put me on the case of organising something but i dont know what to do, so thats why i m asking. Hi all i am new here so i am not really sure where this goes, so if it does not go here i apologies.

First of all, welcome to mylot :)
Since the holidays are coming up, you could have a fundraiser to buy christmas gifts for children. I'm not sure how big your work place is but you could have people donate either money or items to wrap/put in stockings and give them to an organization that distributes them to children. If you would like the experience to be more hands-on, you could participate in adopt-a-family and actually go meet the people who are receiving your gifts. And depending on how many people at your work are going to participate, you might even be able to adopt more than one family! It really is a great experience and makes you feel good to help someone else have a nice Christmas.
