Have you ever tried a non traditional pizza such as barbecue chicken pizza? The sauce is barbecue sauce instead of pizza (tomato) sauce. Tried one a few years back and it was pretty darn good. Then last week we tried an artichoke chicken pizza with pesto sauce. Pretty good too! One chain, California Pizza Kitchen, specializes in different kinds of pizzas. My favorite is still Palermo's (Simi Valley, California) mushroom pizza with extra cheese, yum.

We have a Papa John's Pizza place
in our area that does a chicken Alfredo and
spinach pizza. Haven't tried it yet, but
it sounds divine!

I tried the barbequed chicken pizza before.
Not to bad, but I prefer regular pepperoni pizza with extra toppings.

I've enjoyed an seafood alfredo pizza. That's pretty good. I've had buffalo chicken pizza but they used tomato sauce - that' pretty darn tasty too. california pizza kitchen is awesome -- on the east coast we have to get it frozen but I've enjoyed their sicllian thin crust pizza - I LOVED IT! Too bad there wasn't one closer :(

When I do a pizza at home, I try to add my favourite ingredients. I always add topings such as bacon, all types of sausages, mushrooms and maltese cheese. © ronaldinu 2008

Yes! My favorite ever is a garlic chicken pizza with a white or alfredo cream sauce, mushrooms, and I think olives and green onions. I've gotten that from Round Table in the past. My favorite 'new' creation is canadian bacon (or ham) with jalapenos, olives, mushrooms, and extra cheese.
How about dessert pizza? have you had that? I've never tried actual dessert PIZZA, but I have had the variety you make using sugar cookie dough for a crust, topped with melted chocolate, a variety of candy or chopped up candy bars, etc. I've made a fruit one too, with vanilla icing drizzled on the baked cookie dough and a variety of colorful sliced fruit topped with whipped cream. yummy!

That first one sounds awfully good! The closest I've ever gotten to a dessert pizza are the cinnamon sticks that they have over at Chuck E Cheese!

My favorite non-traditional pizza is the cheesburger one that a local convience store makes. It has mustard and ketchup, hamburger, onions, tomatos, cheese and they slap it all on the pie helter skelter and pop it in the oven. It absolutely delicious.

Oh my gosh I'm not quite sure if that sounds like heartburn on a plate or absolutely delicious! But I'd definitely try it and find out!

There is a pizza buffet close to where I live called "Stevie Bs" They have things like that like potatoe salad pizza, cheeseburger pizza, bar-b-q chick, macoroni and cheese, etc and even cheesecake and chocolate chip. They come out with some crazy stuff.

I enjoy several of CPK's gourmet pizzas, but I would prefer to make my own at home. Save on the cost.
