Hi, I think all DVD players are compatible with all T.V's, just check your T.V at the back or front, if it has a Video and Audio input, that's make the communication between those two things. If yes, then sure. You can buy now.

i won't answer your question in a techie manner here as it would just complicate things & would just confuse us. going back, regardless of the tv & dvd brand it should all be compatible. the compatibility we refer here are the usual & common cables we plug from the dvd to our television. these are the audio/video ports we usually loate at the back of our tv & dvd & some brands would be in the side. for without these ports then with the name itself, we wont be able to see the picture in our tv screens. the dvd also has its own speakers & so is the tv so we may be able to hear it in our tv without connecting the Audio port/cable but that would be your choice as each speaker has its quality. but don't worry sunilkonda, only old television sets doesn't have those ports. also, i've previously worked in a appliance center & both your tv & dvd brands has good quality. so in a straight forward answer, yes your Philips DVD player is compatible with your TCL Television. happy mylotting! :)

The connection between TVs and DVD players are standard and normally come in one of five types (detailed below), in most cases the worse case is you need to buy an adapter which will set you back between £5-10 ($10-20).
SCART (1) - Virtually every TV in the last 10 years or so come with at least one SCART socket (in the UK), as does virtually every DVD player. Large rectangle hole with a weird end, lots of pins.
Component (two or three round holes with a single, large pin) - Less common (in the UK anyway) than SCART.
S-Video - Fairly rare in the UK these days. Round hole with five or so pins.
HDMI (2) - New HD TVs will have this (as well as some of the above). Used just for HD content.
RF Connector (3) - Every DVD player and TV I have seen has had one. You plug your TVs aerial into your DVD drive, then the DVD into the TV, and then on your TV you tune the DVD player in as you would with any other TV channel.
Adapters between the first three are cheap and easy to get hold off, it is unlikely that your TV or DVD player will only have one of the last two.
