Do you even bother to read the responses to the original question in a post?

I was wondering something about the responses I was reading in several people's posts. I was wondering if people consider it necessary to read the responses. Do they read the question and then just reply with out reading first to see if their question could be answered in a prior response? Now, I realize that several have pages and pages and it gets old. But do most of you even bother to read before you reply. Or instead, do you just ask questions to the question without seeing if the answer to your question is in there somewhere?

If it's a topic I feel passionatly about I will just respond immediately. If it's older or I'm wishy washy about it I will read through and if something similar to what I think has already posted I will just back out of it. I don't see much point in intentionally reposting things. Like this post, I didn't read the previous one I just responded and now I'll probably see that the first person wrote the same thing!!! :-)

Sounds like the common choice now. I hope others will add their input. I'd love to know what the community in general thinks of posting. I also wonder what other's on this forum does while they interact with one another. It helps the forum members understand one another better. That helps us communicate better. Which then, helps this site be a better one for us all. thanks you for helping us all out be adding your input to this discussion.
