Help !! they are stealing my discussions !!

Well, I suppose you can report them for plaigarizing but that doesn't put an instant stop to the problem. If it looks like word for word copy and paste theft of discussions you have posted within a day, then that's how I would handle it. One helpful way to avoid feeling like this though is to do a search in discussions using key words to make sure you don't see the same basic discussion you wanted to post up already. If something is months or years old, I don't find it wrong to start a similar discussion but to flat out copy and paste it would be.

is that true? If it is true,this action disrespected you highly. but where is the mylot robot at that moment? could mylot protect us from been copy? but what you said i have never heard about and met with.is there a good way to have some fair rules? by the way,the copys were in the top list,will you unmask them who did it,and after that,do you afraid of it? do you think if you do that thing,it will bring you some disadvantageous aftereffects? are there exist some gangs that can aim at anyone they don't like in mylot? what i said above is just my suspicion,people have different views

There's so many similar discussions here, even I look at discussions and think I started that one a few days ago but I don't think it's intentional, great minds think alike..

maybe people think like you, i had people do the same as me. to me not a big deal..

what is happening with you my brother is very terrible !! we must change our behavior to be batter ... for serve mylot and make it better than an other sites ... that you are live should not remain and it deserves more punishment !! i am very sympathetic with you my friend !!

That's really unfair!!! I wish that people would have a lot more courtesy than to take someone elses ideas and use them as their own. Come on people there are millions of topics out there!! Be original already!!!

It is bad that people can so easily steal other people's work on MyLot.I think that we had all better watch our step.

With almost 150,000 members here, having similar discussions is not surprising. The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun. There isn't. We all hear the same news stories, live similar lives. Even if we're in different parts of the world, the fact that we're human means we'll experience many things in similar ways. It's not surprising that many discussion will be similar. For instance, this one you started has been told my many, many before you.

I understand your frustration and believe me, this has happened to me too, not once but many times. Unfortunately, this has been one of the leading factors why I have decided to not allocate a lot of my effort and time on my Lot because truly speaking and to be frank about it, I would like the my Lot administration to strongly regulate such abuse of direct copying and pasting of original discussions started by genuine members with real interest in promoting myLot as a community.

I ever experience this too but in a different way. I have start a topic then i was gone. Then later i saw other with the same topic. At first i thought it may be just wrong topic i post that mylot delete it. But why other can have it?? Mylot don't know about it?? They really can steal topic from us??confuse

Im sorry to hear that. I think the best thing for you to do is complain about it to the moderator. They will definitely do something about it. They will know who posted the topic first. That is the best way to settle this problem of yours. I know it is hard to think of something interesting to post and find out later someone copy your ideas. It is frustrating for sure.

It is just not done. One should not start copying discussions and posting them. Is there any dirth of topics? A topic can be started in 10 different ways with ten different meanings so why copy verbatim? In a very rare case two people may start the same topic at the same time.

I often wonder whether a discussion I have started has been created previously so try not to think of the obvious things to discuss. I completely understand where your coming from...today alone I have responsed to at least three discussion which asked for pretty much the same answer. I have noticed many discussions are copied or re-worded but to my knowledge there's not much we as users can do...unless you contact mylot of course. Perhaps there might be something in the T&C's about it.

That's bad my friend. I do realized that some of the topic discuss are merely just the same just within a few minutes after the first discussion pop up in my lot. Mostly will have the same meaning and only short a few sentences here and there. I don't know if there any topic moderator that can prevent this from happening. Of course in the wide world there are statistic that this may be happening but if it everyday doesn't mean that we are all have the same thinking attitude. I realised this that if some of the topic discuss and I responded earlier and then pop up another topic with same question and I have to respond the same answer, then again the same question pop up a few day later isn't that the same as copy and paste the respond that I had written earlier!lol.

I am not sure what your topics were but if they were popular types then it is very possible that these people were not aware that you had written the same ones. I see many similar discussions on here and I don't think anyone is meaning to copy. Many people don't search to see if such a discussion is already going on.

Ok, when I personally start a discussion, it is because the idea has popped into my head. I don't go check all over mylot before creating my thoughts. I'm sorry you feel gipped but I don't think it's intentional. It's possible to that the couple of words that were changed completely changed the meaning of the post.

I see this happening all the time. Sometimes I even check if a persone maybe double posted it, you know maybe they didtne get the answer the first time so they did it again after a few days. But no, its never the same person, but the topic is. People just copy old discussions, and they arent even old since I can remember them and I am only here for three weeks. Its pathetic that they cant come up with their own discussion and have to copy them!

really??? im just new here and im still exploring mylot, but whenever i think of any questions that i have in mind with regards to my personal situation, i make a new discussion topic. i just hope those people you're talking about, if they really do it, would stop copying other's discussions.
