I text more than make calls, tho I love to make calls whenever I can.
I send at around 1000 texts per month.
and I have around 200 minuites anytime and much more for the night and weekends but I kinda need to text during the day time, so I text more.

I know you are going to find this weird, but I own a Cell Phone, and have NEVER texted anyone yet. I could see how it could be a lot more private and such, but I just never have had a need to Add that to my Cell Phone plan. I think they are making way too much off of us as it is. So for me, it is definately calling someone, and that goes in spurts as well.

i stick to texting because i don't really have someone who can talk to right now. besides i really get tired of talking for unlimited time on my cellphone.

yeah...
to stay on the phone for very long time is tiring, too. especially when you are doing something.

Text :) Because I don't want disturb my friends. Who knows maybe they're in the middle of a meeting/interview/driving/toilet break/movie, etc. It's better to text them and they will reply when they got time. Unless it is something urgent.

we really call them if it's really urgent...
and if they forgot to turn the phone in silent mode, then it will really disturb the people.. but they can't blame us.. it's urgent.. hehehe
thanx for your response.

It depends on the urgency of the matter... If it is really urgent and I need a response immediately, then I would really call the person but if it not urgent and merely to inform the person, I would rather just send him/her SMS... hehehe

i have unlimited text so thats pretty much all i do. of course it gets old after a while and i sometimes go back to calling. my parents actually just caught on to texting and thats all they want to do now. it gets really annoying when your dad texts you all day for no reason.

that's funny...
i don't really know the feeling coz it doesn't apply to me. my mom only text me if she needs something or i have to run errands for her.

i make sms too quiet often and avoid calls for the heavy bills mostly. moreover u cn convey what u want to in text messages, whereas in calls u forget what u called for and talk of all other things except the real reason

yeah...
i have experienced that also.. and when you put down the phone, that's the time you will realize you have forgotten to tell the person what you really called for..

Calling and texting both have their advantages, there are times when texting is ideal like if your somewhere where you can not make a voice call because you don't have any privacy or there is too much noise to hear the person on the phone. I know when I am on public transportation I have no privacy and there is just too much noise to hear anything so texting is great at times like this. It is also nice when you send a short text message like "I love you" to someone special to brighten their day when your unable to make a voice call.

I prefer to call. It is so much faster than having to go threw and text and wait for a reply ect. My kids are huge on texting. They text me all the time and I always end up calling them after a few texts and say, just call me so we can talk.

that's true...
being practical.. why call if it's not very important? the rates are really expensive.. not unless if you are unlimited 24/7... hehehe

hi enavnail13!
i am a cellphone addict and i love texting so much since this is one of the easiest way to communicate with other people by pushing buttons of the fingers. it is also cheaper sending text messages than calling a person to communicate for hours.
happy posting and happy mylotting!

I text more because I can send messages to all of my friends because of the group contacts feature of phones. I only call when it's important. I usually stick to texting when I am not in need of an urgent reply.

I am most definately a texter, I love to text rather than to talk to someone on the phone. I can say what I want to say and not be stuck on the phone for hours on end with it costing me a fortune. I would only make a phone call on it in an absolute emergency.

I prefer SMS mainly because it fits into my multitasking personality. Calls are just too demanding for attention. I have to stop what I am doing to entertain the call, which is something I do not like.
