How do you camp in a tent or would you rather be in an RV? Do you like going to campgrounds or would you rather just go somewhere in the woods? I like camping in an rv. My husband would rather stay in a tent then with us in the camper. We just came back from a campground and the bathrooms are not great but they will do. They do trick or treating for 3 weeks in October and they close the campground down to any cars, bikes, or golf carts riding around. You dress up and go to each campsite and trick or treat its so fun and the kids get alot of candy. Next year since Halloween will be on Saturday I think we will try and go that day.

We love camping, and do it several times during the summer. We have a tent that we take, I like it just as much as a RV. Cooking outside, smelling the coffee in the morning, it's great and so relaxing. Our dog also loves to go with us. We normally go to a small campground, it's really nice, and it's nice just to get away for the weekend, since it's only about a 45 minute drive.

It is a nice little get away even when you don't have that much money to spend b/c the campgrounds don't charge much for your tent and you have to have food anyway.

That sounds like a lot of fun. The two times I've been camping were in tents, both times with our church youth group. And it rained both times! Once we were able to stay in our tents, free from the rain. The other time one of the girls kicked the side of the tent when she was asleep, and we had to flee to our church van. We slept in a 15 passanger van for 4 hours before we could take off. The bathrooms we had to hike to get to were so gross. Some of the group just went out in the woods because it was probably more hygenic! lol

that sounds bad lol. I would of went in the woods also. We stopped at a campground where everything was broken. You couldn't go in the water or fish b/c it was posioned and then the toilets didn't work and the washing machine didn't do something or you had to hold it. I said there is no way we are staying here. So we made some calls and got out of there as soon as we could.

I would rather a luxuious hotel or an apartment, gone are the days where I would pitch a tent and have never experienced a camper van so couldn't say there. Ellie :D

The camper we have is pretty nice. Its actually my moms. When we were gone for hurricane katrina and were told we couldn't come back home for months she and my step father decided to purchase it. My daughter was only 1 1/2 months old and I didn't want to go in a shelter with her and the hotel was getting to be very costly. So 7 of us stood in it for 3 weeks and then was able to come home. Its like a little house. There is a slide out which is where the livingroom and diningroom are. The table and couch both turn into beds. The tub is small but its great for the kids and better then having to go to some of the crazy bathrooms they have at some campgrounds. Then there is a bedroom in the front with a queen size bed and a sliding door to close it off to the rest of the camper. Some rv's are really nice and have plenty of slide outs. I'm not into staying in a tent anymore but wouldn't mind it if it was kind of cold outside.
