Recently I came to know that Yahoo! is giving away free .biz domain names with no hidden cost.
I cant understand how it will help them
how can they provide us a domain name for free where even they dont get it free them selves ( there is a CANN fee )
Have you got some Idea ?

do you mean free dot com domains ?
Please dont say co.cc or co.nr or similar ones because they are not true domain
and if you really have a website which provides free domain like dot com etc and that too without credit card then
i will be surely interested

Sorry, but your information is not correct. Almost, but not entirely.
It is 9.95/year plz check the info on http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/domains
Yahoo Biz accounts domains are free when you have a FULL WEBSITE. then the domain is free. That would be nice- lol but they are not that generous. Unless you saw some other website - this is the current information available.

Actually When I saw It was completely free
I confirmed at each and every page
my shopping cart was showing $0
but Now I think they have closed that offer
I am talking about 1 week late or so
I am sorry not to be updated.
But even in that case my question is valid , how can they give away free domain ?

Even I wanted to signup for a free domain
but when I completed my shopping cart they asked me for a $0 payment from Credit Card or Paypal Verified.
if you don't have both of them , dont try
But I think yahoo is a reliable company
they will not deduct your money even if you give them your card number.

As far as I know there is no one company which would give you free domain unless and until you buy web hosting with them. Moreover, Yahoo does not have any cheap web hosting plans. There are many other web hosting companies which are very cheaper than yahoo. For only one thing some people go to yahoo web hosting, i.e its reputation.
