It might just be me...but does it seem that a lot of people do not listen to jazz, or even know that it was made in America? I took a classical class and a jazz class in college, and the classical class was FULL, the jazz class was about 10 people including me. why is this? I feel that jazz is slowly disappearing, as hip-hop and rap take over. does anyone else feel this way? share your opinion!

I love jazz. I don't think a lot of people know what to think of it or how to really appreciate it. I Like I was on a date the other night and a jazz song came on and the guy I was with made the comment "the singer sounds like he could be a hefty eater." That is not what I think about when I hear jazz you know. I like the soft soothing sounds and the way it makes you just want to sway.

I still listen to jazz and love it. I have quite a few cd's. I would hate to see it disappear but doubt it ever will. There are so many great jazz artists that are making great music. Happy my lotting!
