Fish ball is one of my favorite street food.
Since in my childhood days I often like to eat fish balls.
When I see a fish ball vendor I can't resist to buy fish balls.
Now it is more improve way to eat fish balls.
This is now served in paper plate and spread the toppings on top of it.
Although three are still vendors who sell it in a traditional ways, put it in stick and dip it in different sauce in different bottles.
Do you like to eat fish balls too?
What kind of sauce do you like?
Sweet, sour or spicy?
Thank you for sharing..

Hi. warrior_777. I have never heard of fish balls before at all. I wonder if the fish is fried and coated with bread crumbs? Is the cooked fish balled up and placed onto a stick? If so, I may would like to try it. I wished that I could see a picture of fish balls.

Hi warrior. Yeah, I like fishballs too along with tempura. They are my favorite streetfoods back in high school and college. I would usually wait at side of the street for the roving vendors of tempura and fishballs. I like the sauce for them hot and spicy (",).

I like it dipped in sweet sauce or vinegar with a pinch of pepper and lots of onions. I can't tolerate hot sauce, so that is a no no for me. If we really want to binge on it, I buy in the supermarket frozen fish balls then we just prepare one in our home. At least we know that it is safe to eat.

Streetfoods are the best!Haha. I love fishballs because it is cheaper than the kikiam which is my favorite. Every afternoon I am always buying fishballs to the "manong" that is selling them in front of the school near us. I always buy so many like 10php. But I don't dip my fishballs onto the sauces available because I believe that is where the diseases come from e.g. hepatitis. I have bought the ready to use sweet and spicy sauce that can be bought from the groceries.

hey warrior_777 ! I like fishballs too. I used to buy from street vendors but now I cook my own fishballs and sauce. I mean I buy from the supermarket and cook my own sweet and spicy sauce ! And I use bbq sticks too instead of fork. But, from time to time, I still buy from the street vendors when I am craving for some because honestly, it tastes better, much more if you are with friends !

i love fishballs, although as a child i had to eat them behind my mother's back. it was forbidden to eat any kind of street food. she would even buy raw fishballs from the market and cook them herself just so we won't have to buy from the street vendors. but it's just not the same. the sauce isn't the same. it's like a blasphemy to eat it indoors and without being surrounded by your fellow fishballers. hehe.
i prefer the sweet sauce or a blend of sweet and spicy.

I love eating fish balls and kikiam too. I remember in my high school and college days, me and my friends always go in the afternoon to this snack store which sells fishball, kikiam, kwek-kwek(orange-coated fried quail eggs), hotdogs. I always eat there is fishball, kikiam and kwek-kwek, love to dip it sweet and spicy sauce, it was really delicious. hmm, can't help but reminisce those days.

Hi warrior! I do like fish balls and squid balls! Back there in our country, there are a few vendors that come and go in our place every couple of hours after lunch time! I prefer sweet and spicy sauce and I also like to dip it in vinegar before dipping them into sweet and spicy sauce.

A pinoy discussion!
I eat fishball but not on a regular basis because of the fact that it is a street food and it's hard to trust the quality or the cleanliness of the food when it is from the streets. I'm not being "maarte" here, I'm just being conscious on what I eat. No doubt fishball is delicious but for a big eater like me I would prefer siopao or pancit.
