I just back from school then, and I was alone at home. I went straight to the bedroom because I wasn't feeling well to begin with. So when the ground shook I thought I was getting dizzy because I was going to be sick. I steadied myself by leaning against a wall. I was surprised to feel the wall vibrate against my cheek. Then I noticed the fan moving. I ran out of the bedroom and out of the house in my socks as the trophies and plaques started falling to the floor from the shelves. A small crowd had already gathered outside, watching the buildings sway.
Later, when my younger brother got home, I asked him where he was during the earthquake and he didn't know there was one. It turned out that at the time of the quake, he was riding the school bus and didn't feel anything out of the ordinary at all.

June 1990 I am still in my mothers womb doing nothing. I was born in the year 1990, Oct 18. That is why I don't have any experience to share. But I would like to experience it. I remember my mom told me that there was a very strong earthquake in 1991, I was a little older, when Mt. Mayon erupted she told me that my grandmother and I hide under the table. I don't remember the details. But she told me that there was a very strong earthquake when I was still a toddler.

You weren't born yet...that makes me feel old. Hehe. But thanks for responding. Maybe you felt something while you were still in the womb, especially if your mom felt it. Although you were only negative three months old so it's not surprising that you won't remember it. =)

I was with my family in Davao City. As far as I could remember we did not feel the quake there but we saw how the quake devastated Luzon especially Baguio. Nineteen-ninety had a number of natural calamities back then which was scary.

Thanks for replying. Yes, Baguio was hit really hard...my dad was supposed to stay at the Hyatt Hotel on a business trip back then, but, luckily, for some reason they moved some place else so they narrowly escaped being in that building when the quake hit.

i was sitting in office working when everythign started shaking. We ran out and first thing si did was ring up home to ask my wife and daughters to get out of the house. They were already in the street. people were reluctant to go back in long after the earthquake got over.

As far as I recalled I was in school at that time third floor to be exact. I was attending a class then my teacher suddenly stopped her lecture and sat down then she said calmly that there is an earthquake. She said that we remain calm at all times and stay in our seats. That was the first wave, then all of a sudden there was this second wave which alarmed all of us but our teacher said to remain calm at all times. I could hear on the other room where classes were also being held that some were becoming hysterical and they are shouting and all that. When the shaking stopped we heard there was a commotion on the other room and realized later that there was one student that got unconscious and was rushed downstairs to the hospital. Nothing really bad happened to me that day and so is the building too. Every person I know of back then was safe and sound except for that one student that went unconscious. I really do not know what happened to her after that. Some says she stopped classes as she has traumatized by that event.

I can still remember that. I wasn't in school yet by that time.
I was standing behind a gate by that time. My arms are on the gate as I watch the view in front of the yard. I'm was wondering then why I felt like things are lightly swinging to my left and right. The front door of the house was swinging. My cousin told me to stop playing the door and I told her it wasn't me.
Later on we discovered that it is an earthquake.

Back then, I think I wasn't even 2 years old, so I wasn't really conscious yet of what was going on in my environment. Where did this happen anyways? Oh wait, I think my sister told me about this. She was at her dorm back then while studying in lasalle when the walls shook and she held on tight to the sink. This was the time that she had a falling out with a friend too...cos when stuff like this happens, everyone just seems to have the "every man for himself" mantra.

During that time I was still 4 1/2 years old and I remember so well what happened that time. We were at our house. My father was fixing a Tamaraw FX vehicle and me and my sister were playing when suddenly it started shaking. Before that happens our dog had already sensed it. It was constantly barking and running without any reason. Luckily no one among us got hurt and there were no items and stuffs that got broken.

hi magicslate
I was with my cousin in the room taking a nap after school.
We've noticed that some books, images, paintings started falling to the floor.
We heard our grandfather voice telling us to stay in the room.
we covered our face with pillow.
as d situation gets normal, we moved down....
but there are some after shocks afterwards..
i was in Pampanga that time...

I was still in grade 1 when the earthquake occurred. We were having a lesson when I felt someone kicking my chair. I realized that I was sitting at the back so no one can possibly do that. I looked out of the window saw a parked bus shaking and later banging on the wall. One of the electric post exploded and my classmates were shouting "Earthquake!!!". Everybody cried and when it stopped, we were all evacuated from our rooms and were sent home.
