Do you think kids have dreams? My five year old said to me when he woke up,Mommy, I had a dream! I dream of the toys from China and we are playing with it..Ok you will wonder why the toys in China, well he heard it form the news, that there toys from China (like a big RC car) that are suspected of high lead content Actually I told him before about dream, that these are the things that don't really happen and it happens while he was sleeping and it is gone when he is awake. Now I am curious, is he really be dreaming? What do you think guys, he is only 5, is he really be dreaming? How about your kids? Do they have dreams while sleeping? Do they share it with you?

Guess but not so sure that they were also dreaming but maybe because it is one of their imagination on having things like he/she wanted to have or things that they want to do but for my daughter now who is still in her 18 months for sure she is also having a dream because when she will sleep and she is been playing too much then it would happen that she will shout and just sleep all back.....

i have a two year old and I think she dreams cause some times I will hear her moaning and rolling around. I will look in on her and she is making funny noises in her sleep so I think it might be a dream. She doesn't talk yet and I'm sure she wouldn't even know what it means to have a dream.

Yeah, kids are humans after all ^_^ And dreams are very normal ^_^ There are times whereby babies or kids waking up in the middle of the night crying, because they have nightmares ^_^ SO kids do dream too, just that they dun normally tell the adults for they might be scolded for lying ^_^ hehe =D ANd u are lucky that your son told u about his dreams and that he's lucky that u din scold or accuse him of lying ^_^ hehe

I do believe that kids have dreams while they sleep. I have a 4 year old brother and I always watch him to sleep. There were times wherein I caught him smiling in his sleep and sometimes even sleep talking.

yes, they are like us too. even babies dream, it's just that they cannot express or talk about it yet. also they cant translate their dreams. We dream of things that are familiar with us, and that's the same for babies. like the toy car of your child and things that interest him. babies dreams not in these form, but of the their own experience when they are in the tummy. but they really dream. Dreams occur during REM or the rapid eye movement stage in our sleep. And since we all sleep, therefore, we dream...:)

Hello, pehpot! I believe that kids also have dreams! They have their conscience, their minds, they think and they have dreams. Dogs do dream aswell, why wouldn't children dream? A dog is like a year old kid: they live to fulfill their basic needs, but they can also show feelings, affection or things like that. They also show a small capacity of thinking, but their intelligence is pretty limited. And they do dream. I believe that any animal that have a brain dreams. Perhaps dream are caused by the brain, and without brains you wouldn't dream... A baby has a brain, so they dream aswell. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I still do not have a kid but I know back when I was a kid, like around 8 years old I was thinking of the declamation piece I memorized by heart when I was 6 years old, and since I auditioned for a declamation contest, I tried remembering the whole declamation piece since the only copy back then was with my grandmother who was 5 hours away from me. Before I got hold of the copy, I dreamt of the first few paragraphs, and I told my mother the paragraph I was familiar with. And because of that dream rememorizing the piece was not as hard as memorizing it all over again.

my son is only 2 n half and i think the kids do dream. my son sometimes now he while sleeping murmers a few words and i feel that they might be dreaming and thus they speakout that. i remember even my mom use to tell me that the childrens dream as the babies too do some expressions of crying and laughing while sleep and it is all those due to their dreaming. so i think even your child had dreamt and he has told you about that.

Hi! I believe kids dream when they're asleep. i myself dreamed when I was young, even weird dreams, that my teachers in school were vampires and my escape route was a small tunnel that leads to the garage, hahaha Anyway, children at the preschool (4-6) period are very imaginative. At this time, they may have nightmares. Kids dreaming is normal. You can try and see if your child is dreaming. If they're asleep and you try to open one or both eyes and you see their eyes move a lot, they're dreaming. Scientifically, this is a sleep stage called the REM (rapid eye movement) stage. This is the same with adults too.

Hii pehpot.... dream and imagination are same......... your question is like will americans or europians or Indians dream when they are asleep??? dream and imagination are common to everyone......what the difference is, we decide our imagination, but dreams comes as it without our decision....... Probably it is very hard to attain our dream(which comes in our sleep) and imagination...... Even, kids will dream according to their capability, Probably they might have dream like having a huge huge number of toys with them..... and eating a large number of snacks..... according to their age they dream....

I used to sit and watch my babies sleeping ,they used to blow bubbles and gurgle and flap their arms aboutand they smiled and laughed. It was fascinating to watch the trouble was I was supposed to do a few jobs when they were asleep. I am certain they dreamt as they looked so happy they just cannot tell you about it ,the same with toddlers they cannot process their thoughts and tell you about it or reaslise they can.Mine never had the night terrors thank goodness I cannot imagine what that must feel like, awful poor little things. They have so much learning to do and they are like littls sponges and I think they do dream they are just like us only smaller.

Of course! Every one dreams. Even animals! I don't have children but I remember my brothers and sister telling me stories of their dreams. I heard that every one has on average seven reams every night, we just don't remember them. I don't know if this is true or not but I find dreams fascinating. Also, it is said that we only dream in black and white..come to think of it when I rememebr my dreams I don't rememebr seeing colour..dreams are weird, we don't really see them, we sort of 'feel' them. Fascinating.

Well, i do... when my daughter was like 16 months... she would laugh and sometimes cry while sleeping... and when she got a little older... she would even talk in her sleep... so that made me think she was having a dream... aside for that... i can see her eyes move... i think that is what they call REM... the thing that we all do when we are having a dream... But she hasn't told me any of her dreams yet...

Yes they do. My son is about the same age sometime talk to me about his dream. He usually dream about ghost and family, going to the sea and others. They usually dream something because of what happening to him during the day. If some scare the hell out of him sure he'll get nightmares or if he too excited meybe he dream that brings the joy to him.
