i wish i can find out i started one discussion and only got ONE reply :) oh well... I guess i'm a joiner not a starter ;)

im not really a starter of discussions, because same with you im afraid they wont respond back at me, but i can say that i have enough response on my discussions, maybe one reaon is i always comment them back everytime they respond at me!!!happy lotting...

Sometimes it has to do with the time of day that you post your discussion. If a lot of people are posting, your discussion gets quickly moved off the first page and a lot of times it rarely gets seen. I personally go to the "new" discussions tab and hardly ever make it to higher numbered pages because so many discussions keep coming. I don't know what else to tell you - it's the luck of the draw sometimes. And don't feel bad, it happens to all of us! Just post another!

Well,when I first join myLot I used to posts many discussions now I don't anymore.I ran out of discussions, I now,respond only to discussions.I can see many interesting topics of discussions and I find that I don't need to create another discussion, of course I do post when I get some good topic. Don't be disappointed my friend.It happens,not just with your post but many of Us.Some discussions are lucky, they get more than 50-100 responses but what I feel is, you should not keep thinking about it that why are you getting less responses when others are getting many?..It can happen that maybe he/she has got active friends or referrals who like to respond to his/her discussions no matter what the topic is.Stop worrying, you are doing good and just keep posting and commenting. Very seldom do I get a lot of responses, I do get enough to make payout. I was told when I first join MyLot. That you get most of your responses from friends. You make friends and you respond to their discussions and they return you the favor by responding to your discussions. My answer is to request more friends. And to make interesting discussions, I have a problem with this one, because I really don't know what interest the users of MyLot. After you have been here a certain length of time things will get easier and better. It did for me I have been here now about 3-4 months. Happy MyLotting.

It's like this for everyone in mylot. I"ve started several discussions with no responses. Some people just aren't interested in what your discussion is about. Sometimes it depends on how you word it. I started a discussion called angry postal workers. Since I work for the post office, I was hoping to run across someone else from the postal service to read my post and respond to it. But it doesn't work that way. There's probably no one in here that works for the post offic ebut me. That was the 1st discussion I started. I remember when I saw knowone had responded I was like "well screw you people for not taking an interest in my discussion, bunch of loosers!" But I bet if I started a discussion called a hate my job, or I haye the people I work with, I would get a few responses. It's wierd when you see the type of discussions that get responses and the ones that don't. Like you'll see a post called "what are you doing right now", and it'll have a million responses. I started one called "anyone feeling lazy", and got responses the minute after I posted it. There are 2 things you can say about the people that respond to certain types of discussions. Either they're weird fot the ones they reply to, and they suck for not replying to yours!

I have discussions that have many responses but there are also those that have little or no response at all. I used to be very conscious of the responses that I get but not anymore. Most of my discussions were based on what I feel at that time. So, if anyone respond to it or no one respond to it. It doesn't bother me anymore.

Actually, there are kinds of interests here that a lot of members participate to, mostly around the 'life' interest. Then, you should also start discussions like that in a particular time wherein a lot of members are free so that when they get to see your discussion, they would look at it and see if they would participate in it or not at all. If a discussion gets too active, it could be found in 'today's top', 'recent', or even 'hot' discussions. As for me, I rarely get discussions that gain a lot of responses. Then again, its not really that important to me if I do get a lot of responses. Frankly, I wouldn't like it that much since I always want to reply to every response that I get within my discussions. I often respond to other discussions and then start from there. If someone replies there, I would simply reply, focusing only on the replies that I get, not the multitude of replies that one would get if they would start a very interesting discussion. Call me lazy but, that's me being honest. But of course, you can't dismiss the way to construct your titles. Let's say you posted a very interesting topic, if you don't give it a catchy title, no one might even bother reading them except your friends here in this site perhaps. Then, the main discourse wherein participants would associate their replies with. The point of views that you would be giving could also stir their ideas and make them post their own opinions regarding the topic that you initiated. (^_^ )

I think it depends on the topic itself. Sometimes a new member can have a lot of responses. But if you have been here for some time and often respond to others' discussions. I think you will have more responses than you expect. I love China

kekexinfeng, Think nothing of it, you win some, you loose some; that's life. Just post what you want and within the TOS and leave the member to respond. If they respond they will if not just start another topic. No point posting topics you are not familiar even if they might be popular right? Anyway, just enjoy yourself, who knows in time to come you might just post one of the most responsive discussion. Take care.

most people here in mylot that gets most responses have lots of friends too in their profile.so if you wanted to have more responses too in your discussions better get the most friends you can get....if you make a scandalous discussion or a hot topic you might as well get more attention to others to make comments on your discussions...good luck

I just blurt things out mostly,which you can tell I am new to this.I have had a decent amount of replys on some discussions,I just make sure to always reply back to anyone who posts to my topics.

if the question is interesting and if it is not there previously ,we can get good answers i think.if we give comments to others questions,we can get good friends here and they all can answer our post.so give comments to others answers ,then u can also get good responses. i have also got less answers for my posts. because i noticed that the questions i have asked was there previously here in this mylot,and i give less comments to others questions.thats why i am getting less answers for my posts i think . if we rate others answers and discussions, and if we give comments to others answers ,we can get more popular here and we can get more answers here ,i think. so follow that.
