i remember looking forward to fridays when i was younger because this was Funny Komiks day. my two brothers, two cousins and i would fight over who gets to read it first. my favorites were niknok and planet op di eyps.
i don't know if they still publish these kinds of comics now. i wish they did because i know it helped foster a love of reading in me. i also liked the sections on broadening the vocabulary and the features on philippine heroes.

of course! niknok and planet of di eyps were also my favorites. i remember having a classmate in highschool who looked like matsutsu. i was so excited when i told her about this. i thought she'd be flattered that she looks like someone from funny komiks. but she was clueless, she she was not familiar with funny komiks. i was really disappointed.

Yeah I also remember that my neighbor is a great fan of these comics. I usually would go to their house and read as my mother do not buy these things before. I guess they are not being produced already as their popularity has already passed away already. With the advent of so many things that can distract a kid comics has become rather obsolete amongst the youngster of today.

I do remember reading Funny Komiks... but i don't think they are still published these days... seems like the komiks industry went down with the onset of other things like the computer... but i hope they will still publish once a month... for the current kids... because i know they will also enjoy reading or just looking at the pictures of Funny Komiks...

oh! yes. my brother and i got addicted to funny komiks when we were young. we love EKLOK. i remember reading one time where he had trouble writing his name because it was too long, one sheet of pad paper is not enough. so, he asked his teacher if he could just write "EKLOK"... LOL! :)
i heard publishers discontinued printing it, but its still available in the net. i dont know the website though. :(

YES NAMAN!!! niknok and the planets of the apes are one of my favorites. i also miss funny komicks already and i sometimes tell stories about things that we have when we are younger and i tell that to my children. and you know teens... they laugh about old things that their parents has but still they love to listen stories about what we have and what we experience when we are much younger and they compare on what they have today
