Do you light your cigarette on the stove if you can't find a lighter?

I just spent 10 minutes looking for a lighter that worked in my house, and couldn't find one, apparently my fiance took the Zippo with him to work. I lit my cigarette on the stove, does anyone else do this? I'm always worried my hair or eyebrows are going to get scorched, or go up in flames, but so far I've been lucky! :)

I had to do that the other day. I never smoke in the house, so i would light it and then RUN to the front door and outside lol.. I'm sure i looked like a goon to the neighbors. XD I'm quite fond of making a spectacle of myself though, so it works. XP

Don't worry! I had to do that when I cooked breakfast for this sorority (worst job I ever had by the way, imagine that...), b/c I couldn't smoke in the kitchen obviously, I'd light it on the stove, turn on the fan, and run out the door, hoping none of the girls or the house mom caught me.

Yeah I've done it before....!!I have a different problem....I don't understand why lighters get lost...I mean when I really need one I can't find one and when Im cleaning or looking for something else I find a collection of them! I hate that! I don't understand why they get lost! But anyway I hope you don't burn yourself!

Wow I got some good ideas from reading here. Yes I have used the stove before and candles but now where I live there are no candles and the stove is a flat ceramic top....Never thought of the toaster!!

I hadn't thought of the toaster anyway, that's a really bad idea! :( I guess I should start keeping matches around the house, good idea anyway in case the power goes out & I need some candles!

I personally dont smoke, but my other half does, and when he cant find a lighter he will light from the stove or gas fire in the living room, if we have candles on he will light from there too!

I love this question..lol Yes I've used the stove and the toaster and if you have something like a portable heater it will light cigs too.
